Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

I ignored the other posts about the landscaping as my sister-in-law raved about this park. It is obvious that weed control is not a priority. I realize this is the desert, but for what we were charged, we were disappointed. Sites are fairly level, but when you have a smaller motorhome, 27', spaces are pretty close together. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Glacier Campground, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in a 27' Class B with toad. Disconnected the car before going to the site. Good thing! Our space was a pull-in, which made it easy. Neighbors had a 31' Class C, and really had to work at getting into their pull thru. Once in our space, lovely camping experience in the woods. Quiet, obviously no satellite connection or antennae. If you need entertainment, bring DVD's. :) Most appealing is its proximity to the West Glacier entrance. Awesome! We camped at Glacier Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you go to Glacier Park, suck it up, and get up super early and beat the crowds. It is so worth it. We left the park at 5:30 am and had the park to ourselves. At Logans Pass, big horn sheep put on a show for us too! Did the entire loop to St Marys and then back to West Glacier (not back thru the park). On Hwy 49 we saw wild horses, range cattle and deer. Note, this road is only 10 miles, but can be rough. We loved it!

Lincoln Road RV Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay for us, glad we made a reservation, as by evening it was pretty well full. Able to use our Direct TV satellite. Level site, easy to get into an out of our site. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Campground is actually closer to I-15. We were coming from Hwy-12, and navigated on surface streets. Google took us right to the campground with no problem. At the time we were there, road crew was working on a new traffic circle, so just a bit of construction. Not a big deal. Ate at the Grub Stake. Steaks were a bit overpriced. Broasted chicken was awesome, but be prepared to wait for it.

Billings KOA, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a typical KOA. Clean and well-run. Nice mini-golf for $5.00 per person. Campground has a little restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. Getting into spaces can be tight, but manageable. Grass between the sites, but when we arrived (early) they were watering which made a little bit of a mess. Because of all the trees, we were unable to get any satellite (Direct TV). Were able to use our antennae for local channels. There is a nice dump facility near the entrance. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Breakfast begins at 7:00 and was excellent. Pancakes, bacon, OJ and scrambled eggs. Also they sell ice cream at night. Be sure to try the Huckleberry flavor.

Ellensburg KOA, Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This RV Park is a step above dry camping. Power and water, but no sewer hook up in a majority of the sites. Luckily we were only staying two nights. Pleasant park, Yakima River adjacent, check in staff personable. Interstate 90 very close and significant amount of road noise. Dump available, but dump is not the same as hookup. We camped at Ellensburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It is best to disconnect your tow vehicle. Some areas are tight. We had a 27' motor home and disconnected first, which made things a lot easier. In space 32, we could use our Direct TV satellite. Eat at Palace Cafe and The Porch. Good service and great food.

Shoreline RV Park, Eureka, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park. Nice laundry room. Awesome WiFi, they do ask that you don't download movies.

They are very accommodating to travelling workers. A little noisy along 101, but not terrible.

We were here for 5 days. Our neighbors seem to be living here. We had a problem with our camper door and had to slam it to make sure it would close. This became an issue because they seemed to be day sleepers. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good breakfast at Kristinas and The House of Omelets. Good dinner at Cafe Marina. All other tourist traps were disappointing, including Cookhouse and Oberons-overpriced and poor service.

Jack's Landing RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park, but got no sleep due to I-5 freeway noise. Left the next morning exhausted. When we checked in, talk radio blaring on the clerks radio. Because of the loud volume, it was hard to focus on getting checked in. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.
