Dixon Springs State Park, Golconda, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay at Dixon Springs. We were the only campers in our loop for the entire stay. This is a very clean, well maintained campground, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. We used this campground as a base while we explored Garden of Gods, Metropolis, Fort Massac State Park, Cave in the Rock and Tower Rock. We also canoed the Cache River in Ullin, and I would highly recommend White Crane Canoe rentals, it was beautiful. The only downside to this campground would be the lack of showers and restrooms, they are with the swimming pool and only open during the hours of 11:30 - 5:30. We camped at Dixon Springs State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
