Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Being off of Briley Parkway, this has got to be one of the loudest highway traffic noise campsites that we have ever stayed in. We selected a premium/deluxe pull-thru site which we didn't realize are all closest to the highway. With the way the highway turns here, it is a banked turn and all of the noise reflects into the campground. There are several trucks an hour heading south bound on Briley Parkway that use their Jake Brakes even though there are signs saying they are not allowed. I give it 3 stars instead of lower because it is a very nice campground with a lot of amenities and our site was nice and level. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Motorhome.

Two Rivers Landing RV Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice RV resort with large concrete pads for RV and tow vehicle and hedges between the sites for some privacy. Only 1 road running through resort with 55 sites in total. Utilities all work well and are conveniently located (all sites are full hookup sites). Riverside sites are available only to class A motorhomes since they are all pull in sites then you have a great view of the river and the field across the river where there are a lot of deer and turkeys. Other side are back in sites. Bathrooms are very nice and always clean. Nice quiet location to stay.

Only concern is what they will do with the trees at the front of the Riverside sites since as they continue to grow they are starting to block some of the view which is really what you are paying for. It would be nice if they would add security locks on the bathrooms so only resort guests know how to enter. We camped at Two Rivers Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fort Boonesborough State Park, Richmond, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Campsites are not level and were very muddy after several days of rain. Unfortunately I they allow people to leave rugs on the grass which kills the grass and this creates a muddy mess after a rain. This could be remedied by putting gravel in the patio areas. Utilities are ok, but water connections are shared and far away from each site. Park is celebrating Halloween the whole month of October and it is very noisy between the road traffic on the highway, cars, trucks and golf carts driving around the campground and lots of kids playing in the streets long after dark. We camped at Fort Boonesborough State Park in a Motorhome.

Allure RV Park and Storage, D'Iberville, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

New campground which is well designed and well laid out. Pull-thru sites are long enough for our motorhome home and our tow vehicle and are level. Utilities all work good. Sites have nice sized yards and most have a wood deck that can be moved to your door area. Roads are wide enough for easy access in an out of sites.

Bathrooms are new, individual with locks on doors, and each has a toilet, shower, sink and mirror.

Since it is off of I-10, you hear the interstate traffic but late at night the traffic dies down and it is fairly quiet. There is no sign pointing you to the campground out on the main road (Popps Ferry Road) so you have to trust your GPS when turning north on Gay Road (which is a smaller road running alongside a Family Dollar store).

Will definitely stay here again when in Biloxi. We camped at Allure RV Park and Storage in a Motorhome.

Myrtle Beach Travel Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

Campsites close to the ocean and are fairly level. Full hookups including cable and all work well. Wi-Fi is so so even though we were camped right next to one of the Wi-Fi poles. Beach is really nice. Campstore has a good selection of food, snacks and camping supplies but is very pricey. Very nice pool with small lazy river. So why 3 as stars? We have been coming here for over 25 years and each time it is more crowded with cars, trucks and campers. As trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes have gotten bigger and the sites get more expensive, the size of the sites have not changed. While the campground rules indicate 2 vehicles per site in addition to the camper, the office even breaks their own rules by issuing 3 car passes to the same campsite. With the popularity of pickup trucks even 2 large pickup trucks is too much to fit on a site with a large trailer or fifth wheel. With the rising price of sites more people are staying on one campsite as well. During peak times you are packed in tight. Even when there are plenty of sites available the office seems to put everyone on top of one another rather than spreading them out. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Jenny Ridge Venue & RV Park, Folkston, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice new campground in Folkston. Sites are all full hookups, gravel, super long and level. Nearly all of the sites are pull through sites. All sites have a picnic table and a fire ring. Good gravel interior roads. Campground hosts live on-site and are very nice. Individual bathroom/showers which were very clean. Highly recommend if you happen to be in the area. We camped at Jenny Ridge Venue & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kentucky Splash Waterpark and Campground, Williamsburg, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Small campground but very nice, level, gravel sites. Camped during the off season of the water park so it was not full, but I imagine it is full during the summer months when the water park is open. All back in sites except for 1 pull through site. Made reservations online but then switched sites when we arrived to a site that had a better stream view. Fairly peaceful and quiet. We camped at Kentucky Splash Waterpark and Campground in a Motorhome.

Bow RiversEdge Campground, Cochrane, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

A well maintained campground with paved roads and nice level gravel sites. Stayed in a back in river site. Nicely maintained hedges between each of the sites to provide more privacy. New WiFi which was free and works great for normal uses. They have a good set of rules and expect everyone to abide with them. If you select a river site, be aware that there is a public trail along the river and the campground has a fence but I think everyone in the town of Cochrane that has a dog brings it here to walk since it is a "no leash" section of the trail. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Lincoln Road RV Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, clean campground with easy access from the interstate but far enough away to not hear the interstate traffic at night. Gravel sites and roads with grass patches between sites. Concrete pad for picnic table. We have stayed in other campgrounds on this trip where the sites were just as close together and more expensive. This is probably the nicest campground in the Helena area. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Must see the Montana State Capital building. A beautiful building. Also the Last Chance Train Ride is a good way to get an overview of Helena (it's a tram that takes you through the government buildings, downtown and through the mansion district while giving some of the history of Helena). The Montana Historical Society is also worth visiting. If you like wood fired pizza check out Bullmans Wood Fired Pizza. Great food and service along with reasonable prices.

Billings KOA, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground but a bit on the pricey side. We had a premium back in site that was on the edge of the campground bordering a private residence. The site was plenty long and level and we had room for our towed car in front as well. The site also had a nicely landscaped patio pad with a table and umbrella as well as a swing and a fire ring. By far the nicest KOA we have stayed in. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Moss Mansion is worth seeing in Billings. He was quite the business man responsible for starting many things in Billings.

North Park Campground, Dickinson, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Staff is friendly and escorts everyone to their assigned site. Problem is they are shared utility sites (one pulls in one direction and someone pulls in the opposite direction so your driver sides are close together) and the staff must never camp because rather than spreading campers out and perhaps start by pulling everyone in from one direction first then start to fill in the other sites from the other direction, they park everyone in with one another. The sites are extremely long (guessing 100' or so) which allows each camper to pull forward in their assigned site and would provide what would feel like more room between campers. Problem is most people stop in the middle by the shared utilities and then the camper on the driver's side is only feet away and on your passenger side there is a camper 10' away (guessing that if we were to put out our awning and the people next to us did as well they would be close to touching. An ok place to stay while visiting Theodore Roosevelt NP and unfortunately probably the best campground for that purpose. Too bad like others have mentioned they have not repurposed the long term RV sites that are sitting empty into short term RV sites. Campground has potential but time will tell if they take advantage of the potential or just leave it as it is. We camped at North Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Theodore Roosevelt NP, both south and north units are worth seeing. Even though the North Unit is quite a drive (about 160 miles round trip) the scenery is more interesting. Medora is a cute town as well if you have some time to walk around.

Prairie Cove Campground, Ashby, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped for overnight stay while heading across I-94. Owners are very nice. Campground has a beautiful view overlooking lakes and fields. Even though it is close to I-94 the traffic noise level is not too bad overnight. They have had a lot of rain lately and some of the sites could use some additional gravel. Biggest downfall is the shared utilities so one camper pulls in one way with the one next to you pulling in the other way. We had a trailer next to us and their slide out was less than 2' away from ours. A little too close for me. We camped at Prairie Cove Campground in a Motorhome.
