We again enjoyed our trip to Winhall Brook. Weather unfortunately did not cooperate where as we had rain almost our entire stay. At the very least campground did seem to have good drainage. Some changes for this year is all the campground roads are now paved. Campground has some hills and is a mix of wooded and open sites. Grounds are well maintained. Our hookups were in good working order. Barely a signal on our Verizon cell phone, just enough to get out a text. Campground office offers a WiFi hot spot which has a nice sitting area to use your devices. Helpful camp hosts. Campground has a river where you can go swimming, tubing or relaxing on the river's edge. There is also a abandoned rail road system that goes through the campground which is now scenic trails. Kayaking is also nearby. Spot on clean bathroom/showers. Found everyone very respectful. This year black bear are present, I saw one in the campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

This is our yearly return trip. We again enjoyed ourselves on our visit to Knoebels. You can enter the amusement park without paying an admission fee, something that other similar campground/amusement parks don't offer. Most of the roads that we saw were paved. Our site was above average in size and had crushed stone put down though I had to use several boards to level the trailer. Noticed many other sites in our area were not level either. Our power box was in good working order. No Wi-Fi but very good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Geography at the campground was moderately to heavily wooded and moderately hilly. Staff was professional, friendly and experienced on how a campground should be run. Lots of campers & Rvers from tents to class A's and as always found everyone very respectful. No full hook ups or honey wagon service available so if you plan on doing a long stay you might need to bring a tote or use the campground facilities. Campground staff does a real good job keeping the bathrooms/shower areas clean. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.

We had a site in the electric loop. Our hookups we in good working order, our site was huge and noticed most others the same. Interior roads and sites were asphalt. Typical beach area camping, place flat with little shade. Campsites are easy walking to the beach. Some of the new bathhouses were not yet finished and found the open bathhouses were not kept clean. Professional and friendly staff, park rangers make routine patrols. Horses make frequent visits. Campground & park great for biking and kayaking. We will return again!

We had a beautiful site with excess to the bay side for swimming & kayaking. Interior roads and sites that we noticed were asphalt. All sites are dry. Bathhouses very clean but only cold running water for showers. Pit toilets only. Horses & deer make frequent visits. Park rangers make routine patrols. Campground & park great for biking and kayaking. Bayside campsites has more small tree growth which offer some shade. Good signal on our Verizon. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.

Campground is flat and heavily wooded. Entrance roads to camping loops are asphalt and make nice biking but connecting camping loop roads are packed dirt. Staff professional and friendly. Our campsite was not overly large for our 20' TT. No problems with our hookups. We didn't try the Wifi but had good signal on our Verizon. Most sites we saw were average in size and were plain dirt. Nice walking trails around campground pond, lots of possibilities for fishing. One issue we had was the only campground bathhouse lost water pressure while we were there.

Our rate reflected a basic full hook up site. Geography at campground is mostly level and very lightly wooded. This is a full resort campground with enough amenities to keep families at the campground if they were to choose to. Our off season WiFi worked well, 3g signal on our Verizon cell phone. Professional and friendly staff. Expect noise from the local race track during day time hours. Also expect daily and sometimes nightly visits from the local freight train from across the street of the campground. Our site hookups were in good working order, noticed most power boxes seemed to be newer/updated. Most sites seemed relatively level. Interior roads & sites had crushed stone. Camp store seemed well stocked and was tastefully decorated. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Showers have plenty of hooks, space and a bench to put your stuff on. Noticed a multitude of site sizes and price ranges to accommodate the many different types of RV's. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

We came opening weekend to take advantage of the trout fishing on the Natchaug river and of course to enjoy camping. One of the reasons why we continue to choose this campground is because of the friendly environment and the enforcement of campground policies. Interior roads had some potholes but nothing to over the top. Our sit hookups were in good working order. Campground is in a flood plain because of the Natchaug river so do expect some sand at most of the sites. We did not try the WiFi but we had a good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Geography at campground is level with open and shaded areas. Most sites, especially the non river sites, have enough space where backing in should not be difficult. Campground is clean and decently maintained. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.

This is a very well maintained and landscaped campground. Our site was level and our full hookups were in good working order. Interior roads were paved, campsites had crushed stone. Noticed a multitude of site sizes to accommodate the many different types of RV's. Wi-Fi worked well, good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Showers have plenty of hooks, space and a large bench to put your stuff on. Geography at the campground was open to lightly wooded and mostly level. We found the food at the campground café & grill to be disappointing. Camp store & office was well stocked and very functional. Highway noise throughout the campground. Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

We did a one night stop over. Geography at the campground was moderately to heavily wooded with large oak trees, mostly level. No problem with our hookups. We took a walk through the campground, noticed many seasonal sites though they were very well maintained. Nice bass pond. Noticed lots of highway noise throughout the campground. Well maintained and landscaped campground. Clean bathrooms & showers. Interior roads were level with either pavement or crushed stone. Good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Friendly and helpful staff.

This is a very well maintained and landscaped campground. Staff was professional, friendly and informative. Camp store was nicely stocked. Our full hookups were in good working order. Our campsite alone with the other sites we noticed had crushed stone put down and looked level. All the roads in the campground that we saw were paved and the campground geography was moderately wooded and somewhat level. Wi-Fi worked well, good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Nice destination and home base type campground to explore the Lancaster area. Bathrooms and showers are spot on clean. Showers have plenty of hooks, space and a large bench to put your stuff on. One thing new for this year is the change of the entrance to the campground, you now have to enter the campground with the Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park visitors and when leaving you are required to weave through the Amusement park parking lot which we thought was poorly marked. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at Atlantic Oaks, Geography at the campground was lightly to moderately wooded and mostly level. Our water & electric hookups were in good working order but because of location of the sewer connection I needed to do some creative work to get proper drainage. Interior roads were a little rough but nothing over the top. Our pull through site was average in size and I had to use several boards to level the trailer. Noticed many other sites in our area were not level either. Wi-Fi worked very well, though it was off season. Good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Very nice camp store, well stocked. Clean bathrooms & showers. Friendly and helpful staff. Cape Cod Rail Trail is right behind campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

This is a just a wonderful COE campground. Campground has some hills and is a mix of wooded and open sites. Grounds are well maintained. As mentioned on previous reviews narrow bridge to the water/electric sites on the south side of the campground can be a tough crossing with the larger RV's. Our hookups were in good working. Barely a signal on our Verizon cell phone, just enough to get out a tex . Campground office offers a WiFi hot spot which has a nice sitting area to use your devices. Helpful camp hosts. Campground has a river where you can go swimming, tubing or relaxing on the river's edge. There is also a abandoned Rail road system that goes through the campground which is now scenic trails. No full hook ups or honey wagon service available so if you plan on doing a long stay you might need to bring a tote or use the campground facilities. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.

This is a newly built campground with good bones. We stayed for a very busy weekend to take advantage of Lake Compounce Amusement Park. RV part of the campground is basically a flat open gravel field. Trees have been planted but will take some years before any decent shade or when the campground has a better visual appeal. Campsites face each other but are staggered enough so you will not be looking directly at you camping neighbor. With that said I would recommend pulling into your site as far forward as possible for extra distance from your camping neighbor. Our water/electric was in good working order but our cable was mostly snow, asked the next site over and they had the same problem. We did report this. Staff was professional. Wi-Fi worked slow, we had good signal on our Verizon cell. Our main criticism on this park is as of now it is not gated 24 hrs per day and that is a security concern. Bathrooms were clean and showers were nicely set up with lots of extra space. In conclusion, this campground will improve with age.

Date of Stay:

With the direct access to two beaches and the cost per night is why we keep choosing this campground. Our W/E hookups were in good working order. No sewer available at campground. Typical beach area camping, place flat with little shade. Camp sites are grid style and on the small side. Bathrooms and showers were just okay. No Wi-Fi, but good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Campground offers two beaches, kayaking and fishing. Careful, many of the sites have manhole covers and sharp drop from the site asphalt which are trip hazards. We would return again.
