We came opening weekend to take advantage of the trout fishing on the Natchaug river and of course to enjoy camping. One of the reasons why we continue to choose this campground is because of the friendly environment and the enforcement of campground policies. Interior roads had some potholes but nothing to over the top. Our sit hookups were in good working order. Campground is in a flood plain because of the Natchaug river so do expect some sand at most of the sites. We did not try the WiFi but we had a good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Geography at campground is level with open and shaded areas. Most sites, especially the non river sites, have enough space where backing in should not be difficult. Campground is clean and decently maintained. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.

This is a very well maintained and landscaped campground. Our site was level and our full hookups were in good working order. Interior roads were paved, campsites had crushed stone. Noticed a multitude of site sizes to accommodate the many different types of RV's. Wi-Fi worked well, good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Showers have plenty of hooks, space and a large bench to put your stuff on. Geography at the campground was open to lightly wooded and mostly level. We found the food at the campground café & grill to be disappointing. Camp store & office was well stocked and very functional. Highway noise throughout the campground. Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

We did a one night stop over. Geography at the campground was moderately to heavily wooded with large oak trees, mostly level. No problem with our hookups. We took a walk through the campground, noticed many seasonal sites though they were very well maintained. Nice bass pond. Noticed lots of highway noise throughout the campground. Well maintained and landscaped campground. Clean bathrooms & showers. Interior roads were level with either pavement or crushed stone. Good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Friendly and helpful staff.

This is a very well maintained and landscaped campground. Staff was professional, friendly and informative. Camp store was nicely stocked. Our full hookups were in good working order. Our campsite alone with the other sites we noticed had crushed stone put down and looked level. All the roads in the campground that we saw were paved and the campground geography was moderately wooded and somewhat level. Wi-Fi worked well, good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Nice destination and home base type campground to explore the Lancaster area. Bathrooms and showers are spot on clean. Showers have plenty of hooks, space and a large bench to put your stuff on. One thing new for this year is the change of the entrance to the campground, you now have to enter the campground with the Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park visitors and when leaving you are required to weave through the Amusement park parking lot which we thought was poorly marked. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at Atlantic Oaks, Geography at the campground was lightly to moderately wooded and mostly level. Our water & electric hookups were in good working order but because of location of the sewer connection I needed to do some creative work to get proper drainage. Interior roads were a little rough but nothing over the top. Our pull through site was average in size and I had to use several boards to level the trailer. Noticed many other sites in our area were not level either. Wi-Fi worked very well, though it was off season. Good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Very nice camp store, well stocked. Clean bathrooms & showers. Friendly and helpful staff. Cape Cod Rail Trail is right behind campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

This is a just a wonderful COE campground. Campground has some hills and is a mix of wooded and open sites. Grounds are well maintained. As mentioned on previous reviews narrow bridge to the water/electric sites on the south side of the campground can be a tough crossing with the larger RV's. Our hookups were in good working. Barely a signal on our Verizon cell phone, just enough to get out a tex . Campground office offers a WiFi hot spot which has a nice sitting area to use your devices. Helpful camp hosts. Campground has a river where you can go swimming, tubing or relaxing on the river's edge. There is also a abandoned Rail road system that goes through the campground which is now scenic trails. Kayaking is also nearby. Spot on clean bathroom/showers. Found everyone very respectful. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

Our again enjoyed ourselves on our return visit to Knoebels. You can enter the amusement without paying an admission fee, something that other similar campground/amusement parks don't offer. Most of the roads that we saw were paved. Our site was above average in size and had crushed stone put down though I had to use several boards to level the trailer. Noticed many other sites in our area were not level either. Our power box was in good working order. No Wi-Fi but very good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Geography at the campground was moderately to heavily wooded and slightly hilly. Staff was professional, friendly and experienced on how a campground should be run. Campground store was well stocked. Lots of younger camping families here but found everyone very respectful. No full hook ups or honey wagon service available so if you plan on doing a long stay you might need to bring a tote or use the campground facilities. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.

This is a newly built campground with good bones. We stayed for a very busy weekend to take advantage of Lake Compounce Amusement Park. RV part of the campground is basically a flat open gravel field. Trees have been planted but will take some years before any decent shade or when the campground has a better visual appeal. Campsites face each other but are staggered enough so you will not be looking directly at you camping neighbor. With that said I would recommend pulling into your site as far forward as possible for extra distance from your camping neighbor. Our water/electric was in good working order but our cable was mostly snow, asked the next site over and they had the same problem. We did report this. Staff was professional. Wi-Fi worked slow, we had good signal on our Verizon cell. Our main criticism on this park is as of now it is not gated 24 hrs per day and that is a security concern. Bathrooms were clean and showers were nicely set up with lots of extra space. In conclusion, this campground will improve with age.

With the direct access to two beaches and the cost per night is why we keep choosing this campground. Our W/E hookups were in good working order. No sewer available at campground. Typical beach area camping, place flat with little shade. Camp sites are grid style and on the small side. Bathrooms and showers were just okay. No Wi-Fi, but good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Campground offers two beaches, kayaking and fishing. Careful, many of the sites have manhole covers and sharp drop from the site asphalt which are trip hazards. We would return again.

We again enjoyed our stay, found continued improvements being made to the campground. Some of which are 8, 50amp WES sites along with some additional WE sites. Also with the much needed removal of the dilapidated hotel building has drastically improved the overall looks of the campground. Geography at the campground is mostly open on a slightly graded hill. Our hookups were in good working order. Our WiFi was slow, okay signal on our Verizon cell phone. Owners were professional, friendly and informative and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.

As mentioned on previous reviews the value in this park is its access to NYC. Sites are small with very little space left over, especially when the Rv slides are extended. If possible I would recommend sites closer to the office area/front commuter parking lot. Lots of noisy construction that starts promptly by 7:30am by back area sites. In addition, noticed lots of dirt blowing in from the construction area onto the back part of the camp sites. Our hookups were in good working order. Bathrooms/showers were okay. Staff was professional. At night place quiets down enough where sleeping was not an issue. Wi-Fi & Verizon cell was at a minimum signal. We would return again.

We again enjoyed our stay at Old Mill Stream Campground. Campground is very pet friendly and has two enclosed heated pavilions for get togethers. Our only concern was the busy rte 30 traffic which makes it tough to leave or get into the campground We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone.

This is a campground we really enjoyed. Place is divided into four areas. We stayed in area 4 which was water electric only. Most of the sites in our area were private, above average in size, level and had beautiful native landscaping. We had good signal on our Verizon cell. All the roads in the campground that we saw were paved and the campground geography was lightly wooded and somewhat level. In addition the 3 other areas of the campground we didn’t see anything that was over the top as far as not enough space between sites or any sites being excessively unlevel. One issue that we found unacceptable were the bathrooms and showers, noticed only the toilets and sinks were cleaned while we looked at the same dirt and grime on the bathroom floors for our entire stay. Also the bathrooms/showers were in a desperate need of a complete makeover. This all said we though area 4 was the nicest part of the campground so if you can deal with out the full hookups I would recommend that area, we would return again.

This has become our favorite getaway in CT. Super large sites with lots of wooded space between your neighbors, something you just don’t see in CT to often. Campground is heavily wooded and slightly hilly. Our hookups were in good working order. Friendly and helpful camp Hosts. The lake which is an easy walk from the campground is perfect for fishing or kayaking. Miles of scenic hiking trails that are easy on the feet. Our Verizon cell phone worked well. Dump station was in good working order. This is a quiet campground that caters to campers that are looking to enjoy nature and as always found everyone very respectful. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.

Let me start by saying we really enjoyed our stay here. Geography at the campground was moderately to heavily wooded and slightly hilly. Roads that we noticed were paved. Our site was above average in size and had crushed stone put down though I had to use several boards to level the trailer. Noticed many other sites not level either. Our power box was in good working order but there is no water hookups at any of the campground sites though there is water filling stations when you enter the campground. In addition, no honey wagon service available so if you plan on doing a long stay you might need to bring a tote or use the campground facilities. No Wi-Fi but okay signal on our Verizon cell phone. Dog friendly campground. Staff was professional and friendly. Campground store was small but had all the essentials. Our location at the campground was on the far side away from the amusement park but with the park bus service making rounds every 15 minutes meant no walking to the park, which made everything very convenient . Lots of younger camping families here but found everyone very respectful. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.
