Flory's Cottages & Camping, Ronks, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

I must say we really enjoyed our stay here. Found the campground very appealing with the Amish farms that backed up to our site and the place seemed to have a country charm. Sites 20 through 42 back up to Amish farms and yes there is farm smells here. One thing of note if you valve your space or privacy this place may not be to your liking, sites are very tight with little space between sites which is most likely why they have a no campfire policy here. Also no mats allowed on grass. In addition most vehicles/tow vehicles had to T up at their sites because of lack of space. This may also create a blocking problem for some of the larger Rv's having to get into their sites. Geography at the campground was open to lightly wooded and very level. Camp roads are packed dirt and well grated. Campsites that we noticed had crushed stone. Our full hookups were in good working order. Camp store was well stocked. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Showers have plenty of hooks, space and a bench to put your stuff on. Staff was friendly and informative. Seasonal sites were decently maintained, transient campers friendly and respectful. Good signal on our Verizon cell, briefly used Wifi which seemed slow to load up. We enjoyed this campground and would return or recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Atlantic Oaks Campground, Eastham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We again enjoyed our stay at Atlantic Oaks. Our pull through site for this year was the best ever, plenty of room and level. Our 30 amp full hook ups we in good working order. Bathrooms/showers kept super clean. Interior roads packed stone/dirt, our site mostly packed sand. Geography at the campground was lightly to moderately wooded and mostly level. Camp store seemed well stocked and was tastefully decorated. Staff was professional, friendly and informative. Good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Did briefly use off season WiFi with no problems. Seasonal sites were well maintained though they kind of kept to them self's. Transient campers friendly and respectful. Cape Cod Rail Trail is right behind campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Dixon's Coastal Maine Campground, Cape Neddick, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects 4 adults and 1 extra vehicle. This is a clean, decently maintained and landscaped campground. Very nice heated pool. Newer updated bathroom & coin operated showers. Our W/E hookups were in good working order. Interior roads were paved, most sites that we noticed had crushed stone. Being a shore line campground most sites which including ours were on the smaller side which made parking difficult. Geography at the campground was lightly wooded and somewhat hilly. Good signal on our verizon phone. Staff was professional and informative. We enjoyed this campground and would return or recommend this place. Very friendly campers here about 20% are seasonal. Seasonal sites very well maintained. Electric hookups only, water filling stations available to fill your RV. Nice very large updated bathrooms & showers. Geography at campground is somewhat hilly and moderately to heavily wooded. Most sites that we noticed were level and good size. Both roads & sites had crushed stone. Easy walk to huge beach across street. Beach area also has bathroom/shower house and restaurant. Campground is clean, decently maintained and landscaped. Good signal on our Verizon cell. Staff was professional and friendly. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone. Cavendish Campground (Parks Canada), Prince Edward Island National Park, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

What a wonderful experience we had at this campground. Our campsite was a short walk to a beautiful beach. Geography at campground is mostly level and moderately wooded. Sites are level and site size's seem to alternate from very large/deep to small. Our site was just long enough to get into but I was aware of this when I booked. Bathrooms/showers kept very clean with large modern facilities. Not much of a camp store. Our 30 amp full hookups were in good working order but I had to do some creative plumbing to get the sewer line to drain correctly. Good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Campground roads are easy to maneuver which had crushed stone. Campsites that we noticed had pea stone. Staff was professional, friendly and informative. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Cavendish Campground (Parks Canada) in a Travel Trailer.

If you enjoy biking this is the place, miles of easy riding, scenic trails at both Cavendish and Stanhope national parks. I would also recommend kayaking the Trout River In the town of Stanly Bridge, very scenic! I would also recommend eating at the Blue Mussel Café in North Rustico and for lunch the Pidgeon Coop Diner in Kensington, delicious lobster rolls made on home made rolls!

Camper's Haven Campground, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is very spread out. Geography is somewhat hilly with open and shaded areas. Roads are packed dirt and rock. Some of the campground roads had large rocks which required maneuvering around. Our full hookups were fine. Or site was level and average in size as with most sites that we noticed. Noticed this is a mostly seasonal campground. Most seasonal campers were in okay condition but some were in poor condition. Staff was professional and friendly and very helpful about the area around the campground. Bathrooms/showers Showers were clean, but shower and changing stalls were way too small and needed to be upgraded. Good signal on our Verizon cell. WiFi poor. Camp store was tastefully decorated. Not a destination type campground but good for a couple nights stay. We would return. We camped at Camper's Haven Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The Ridge Campground, Mount Morris, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Let me start off on some of the issues we had here. Advertised WiFi was not available, not even in the camp store. We left early at 7am and after using the dump station found the non potable water flush was shut off/not working. This campground is about 70% seasonal, noticed most seasonal sites occupied by friendly retired folks. The seasonal sites were very well maintained though permanent structures have been built around many of the seasonal campers to the point where they don't look like RV sites anymore. If possible I would recommend booking in the front of the campground for best views of the valley. Campground filled up real fast for the busy weekend and noticed everyone very respectful. Geography at campground is level with open and shaded areas. Most sites had crushed stone, roads were mostly packed dirt with some deep potholes. No problems with our 30 amp power box or water. Staff was professional and friendly. Campground is clean and decently maintained. I had marked the bathrooms/showers clean on this review, though we thought they could have done a better job keeping them clean. Good signal on our Verizon cell phone. We would return again or recommend this campground. We camped at The Ridge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Knoebels Amusement Resort, Elysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We again enjoyed ourselves on our visit to Knoebels. Staff always does a good job keeping the bathrooms/showers clean given the large volume of campers. Our location at the campground was on the far side away from the amusement park but with the park bus service making rounds every 15 minutes meant no walking to the park, which made everything very convenient. Always a huge assortment of different Rv types from all age groups and always find everyone very friendly. Geography at the campground was moderately to heavily wooded and mostly hilly. Roads are paved. Our site was above average in size and had crushed stone put down though I had to use several boards to level the trailer. Noticed many other sites in our area were not level either. Good signal on our Verizon cell. Staff was professional, friendly and experienced on how a campground should be run. Looking forward to going again next year! Rate reflects discount. This year we were able to book a riverside site which overlooked the scenic Natchaug river. Our site was level and somewhat small in size for our 20' TT. Our water & electric hookups were in good working order. Interior roads are packed dirt & rock. We did not try the WiFi but we had a good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Geography at campground is level with open and shaded areas. Staff was professional and friendly. Campground is clean and decently maintained. Fishermen's State Park and Campground, Narragansett, Rhode Island

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This year we stayed at area 1 and I must say we found it nicer than area 4 where we stayed two years ago. All the sites in area 1 which included ours were paved, level and longer than we would hope for. Our full hook ups were in good working order. Grounds are well maintained. The bathrooms/showers were in a desperate need of a complete makeover but the good news is next year they are supposed to be replaced. One correction I would like to make from my previous review is in area 2, site's 56 thru 64 and a few others scattered about are terribly unlevel, I would definitely avoid if you have a large RV. Geography at the campground is lightly wooded and somewhat level. Staff was professional and friendly. I would recommend this campground, we would return again. GrandView CampResort & Cottages, Moodus, Connecticut

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is our 3rd trip the Grand View. I am still amazed on all the continued improvements, some of which are 7 new W/E/S sites with 4 more in the works. Bathrooms & showers by pool area were clean but found shower stalls cramped and tough to move around in. Most of the new W/E/S sites are pull thru and excess seems easy even with the larger Class A's. Geography at the campground is mostly open on a slightly graded hill. Grounds are well maintained. Interior roads and sites dirt and crushed stone. Our W/E hookups were in good working order and no problem backing into our site. WiFi was very good, okay signal on our Verizon cell phone. Grandview is located in a beautiful country area which just adds more character to an already great little country campground that caters to the quieter crowd. Owners were professional, friendly and informative and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone. Overall Rating:

We again enjoyed our stay at Atlantic Oaks. Geography at the campground was lightly to moderately wooded and mostly level. Interior roads and sites are packed dirt/rock. Roads were a little rough but nothing over the top. Our water & electric hookups were in good working order. Our pull through site was again smaller than we would have liked and because of the grading it was difficult to park my mid size truck. Did not use the Wi-Fi but had good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Camp store/office was well stocked and was tastefully decorated. Clean bathrooms & showers. Staff was professional, friendly and informative. Cape Cod Rail Trail is right behind campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone. Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We again enjoyed our trip to Winhall Brook. Weather unfortunately did not cooperate where as we had rain almost our entire stay. At the very least campground did seem to have good drainage. Some changes for this year is all the campground roads are now paved. Campground has some hills and is a mix of wooded and open sites. Grounds are well maintained. Our hookups were in good working order. Barely a signal on our Verizon cell phone, just enough to get out a text. Campground office offers a WiFi hot spot which has a nice sitting area to use your devices. Helpful camp hosts. Campground has a river where you can go swimming, tubing or relaxing on the river's edge. There is also a abandoned rail road system that goes through the campground which is now scenic trails. Kayaking is also nearby. Spot on clean bathroom/showers. Found everyone very respectful. This year black bear are present, I saw one in the campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Winhall Brook COE in a Travel Trailer.

This is our yearly return trip. We again enjoyed ourselves on our visit to Knoebels. You can enter the amusement park without paying an admission fee, something that other similar campground/amusement parks don't offer. Most of the roads that we saw were paved. Our site was above average in size and had crushed stone put down though I had to use several boards to level the trailer. Noticed many other sites in our area were not level either. Our power box was in good working order. No Wi-Fi but very good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Geography at the campground was moderately to heavily wooded and moderately hilly. Staff was professional, friendly and experienced on how a campground should be run. Lots of campers & Rvers from tents to class A's and as always found everyone very respectful. No full hook ups or honey wagon service available so if you plan on doing a long stay you might need to bring a tote or use the campground facilities. Campground staff does a real good job keeping the bathrooms/shower areas clean. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone. We had a site in the electric loop. Our hookups we in good working order, our site was huge and noticed most others the same. Interior roads and sites were asphalt. Typical beach area camping, place flat with little shade. Campsites are easy walking to the beach. Some of the new bathhouses were not yet finished and found the open bathhouses were not kept clean. Professional and friendly staff, park rangers make routine patrols. Horses make frequent visits. Campground & park great for biking and kayaking. We will return again!
