Moab KOA, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Evidently this location has recently been converting to a corporate site (at least that is what they told us). Construction on pool and laundry with dust blowing all around. Very expensive for what you get and in relation to other RV campgrounds in Moab. Our site was so crowded that our table was part way on the road, totally unusable. All young people in the office with no experience. Check out the other campgrounds in Moab. Much better value and venue. Don't go. We camped at Moab KOA in a Motorhome.

Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort, Salem, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Not really a resort but adequate. Verizon and satellite service good. Manager wasn't the most helpful person but overall a good place to stay overnight. We camped at Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hendy Woods State Park, Boonville, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great state park with many trails. Area is surrounded by sequoia trees and great picture taking of the and a bit rustic. Off the highway so watch carefully for the signs. Sites are spacious but a little tight for a rig over 30 feet. We camped at Hendy Woods State Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Nella RV Park, Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient location, right off I-5 but far enough away so no noise. Manager was very helpful. Pull through means you park diagonal across two sites but it worked. Fast food walk able (don't try to cross road, go to intersection). We camped at Santa Nella RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beverly Beach State Park, Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Typical Oregon State Park. Long walk to the beach area from our campsite (we were in last loop). Some damage on the nature trail from all the rains. Great family park. We camped at Beverly Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Cape Blanco State Park, Port Orford, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest Oregon State Parks, the only downside is it is first come first serve. Find an available site and then register at the kiosk. We got the last site available upon arriving early on a Saturday. Hosts said that campground has been totally full all season. Lots of trails to explore and of course the light house. We camped at Cape Blanco State Park in a Motorhome.

Klamath River RV Park, Klamath, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Great owner, we had a riverfront pull through site that was great. Excellent area and very well maintained campground. A little ways off the highway but no trouble finding. We had not planned to stay here but we were tired and decided to try, we were not disappointed and will make this a planned stop in on our next trip north. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you're hungry try the Redwood Hotel Casino restaurant. A little bit north of campground on 101 but good food.

Fort Stevens State Park, Hammond, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Large campground with lots to do. Typical nice Oregon State Park. We enjoyed the many trails and also used the camp as our base to explore nearby Astoria. We also crossed over into Washington and explored the Columbia from that side of the river. We arrived early but were not able to get into our site because they had a large group that just exited the area and it wasn't cleaned up. The staff showed us where to park our MH until we could get in which allowed us to enjoy the park while waiting. We camped at Fort Stevens State Park in a Motorhome.

Los Banos West / I-5 KOA , Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Only redeeming value was that they had an opening and the other camp in the area was not available. Dirty area with many permanent trailers with everything stored outside. Had a pull through site and the hookups were in the wrong area so had to have triple extensions to use. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

Westport Beach RV Park and Campground (formerly Westport Beach / N Men, Westport, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Looks like a free for all campground, kids, dogs, people, cars, trucks, rv's everywhere. Sites are "marked" but it appears it doesn't matter. We had a back in site that was supposedly 40' and our 32' motorhome barely fit. Entrance on a curve and road to camp area is steep. We camped at Westport Beach RV Park and Campground (formerly Westport Beach / N Men in a Motorhome.
