Powder Mill Campground is like an oasis in the desert... Once you stumble upon it you'll be refreshed for your journey on. Although a relatively new Campground everything was well thought out. Brand new full hookup 50 amp service, great well water with good pressure, convenient sewer location, level sites, Big rig friendly, Plus 4 cabins for rent. They've got everything. There is a lake & a creek nearby, storage units and a wedding reception pavilion. Everything is brand new including the restrooms and showers. I recently stayed there for just four nights, And didn't really want to leave. The roads there aren't that bad for a 40-foot rig. Only about a mile off a major highway, with all paved roads to get there. Easy in easy out. Lakes for fishing, Trails for hiking, beautiful country side view, Peace and quiet. Who could ask for anything more... We camped at Powdermill Run Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Call ahead they run specials... ! Their website is https://www.powdermillruncamp.com/

I called Gaslight campground the day before I planned to arrive to reserve a campsite. I reserved a 50 amp pull through site. At check in I was told no credit cards accepted because their machine was broke, cash only. That was a problem for me because I use credit cards. I accrued atm fees, but payed in cash. I was escorted to my site, leveled my trailer, put out my 3 slides, and started to plug in. Discovered my electric receptacle was 30 amp, wore out and corroded. (no electric service). I informed the campground office, and was told to move to another site. A lot of work moving and resetting up twice, which was not easy due to unlevelness of both sites, requiring extensive blocking up. My new site had dog poop from loose roaming dogs. Loose dirt, little gravel, sloped over 4 inches side to side. Amongst (pipe-line workers) staying there. Needless to say I left very early the next morning.... ASAP ! We camped at Gaslight Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Convenient to bicycle trails in the area, and close to the interstate highway.

I called River Trail campground the day before I arrived, and reserved their pull through site #2. It was a level and dry grassy surface under shade trees, long enough for anybody. Easy in and out. Perfect spot for hot weather camping. 50 amp. full hook-up. Great well water with good pressure. Sewer pipe was convenient. The B&O bicycle trail has access right in back of the campground.
Pulling into the campground off of highway 97 is easier coming from the north out of Bellville OH. Their driveway naturally bends in that direction. We camped at River Trail Crossing in a Travel Trailer.
