Montrose Campground, New Milford, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Our first time camping here in 2016 with our 'new to us' camper and we had hot water issues. The owner was very helpful and came by to help diagnose the problem. He explained what we were doing wrong and we had hot water in no time! The second time camping here in 2017 with another 'new to us' camper and we turned on our kitchen faucet to find the sprayer had cracked from improper winterizing. The owner came to our rescue AGAIN with a used sprayer and even installed it for us! We also did not realize that the sewer setup we had for the old camper was not long enough for the new one and the owner fixed us up with what we needed. The sites are HUGE and each have a nice picnic table and fire ring. The campground is kid-friendly and has a great playground, pool, and even mini-golf. A nice nature trail takes you to a quiet pond for fishing. The store is stocked with necessities and they have plenty of RV specific items as well. This was a very nice, quiet campground off the beaten path but very close to a town that can provide everything that you might possibly forget to take with you. We obviously liked it enough the first time to make a return visit and we will definitely be going here again! We camped at Montrose Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is an error on the listing here for their web site. It is actually www.montrosecampground.net and not .com The closest town is not far and although small, has every type of store that you could possibly need for picking up forgotten items. Be sure to bring sturdy sneakers so that you can walk the trails in comfort. My thin-soled canvas slip-ons were not appropriate. :)
