This was our first time to this campground. We went based upon on the positive comments found here on RVParkReviews. We went during the Halloween weekend, our 4 kids LOVED it! We will be coming here frequently now, kids can't wait to use the pool. Only reason I didn't give them a 10 was the bathrooms were a little dirty and there are only two restroom stalls and two showers.

The Park was beautiful and clean. Our site (49) was, for the most part, in the shade, which we really enjoyed. The biggest issue we have with the park was that nothing was very convenient except for bath and shower rooms. For instance we have small children. The playgraound from our camping spot was a very good walk if not a very short (2-3 minutes) car ride. Would make better sense to have this in the middle of our camping area not all the way up to the front towards the entrance. Also the camping store is for sure a car ride as it is over by the lake and pool. With young children the only thing we could do was hike or let the kids ride their bikes or play with their toys. Pretty much had to hop in the car to take them anywhere. All in all though it was a very nice camping area and we would return. DNR staff were very helpful and friendly.

We were very displeased with this campground. People overall were rude including one of the owners. This seemed like more of a campground for people who liked to sit around and drink alcohol for a majority of the day which reminded my wife and I of high school or college. My wife and I grew out of that phase shortly after graduating. Not a very good campsite for young children. We have a 3 month old which was fine for him but this site would not be good for toddlers as there are many rocks around the site as well as drop-offs into ravines so you can imagine what may happen with a little one stumbling around. Also owners were not at all concerned with campers coming in for the weekend. They were only concerned with the permanent campers, drinking and were not friendly at all. They did nothing to make our stay nice. Other places we have been to, owners asked us if everything was okay, did we need any help etc. Common courtesy we felt in running a business. The sites overall were nice as most if not all are wooded. However we were on top of our neighbors as there was not much room at all between us. Had a cabin beside us and they allowed them to pitch a tent halfway on to our site and they said that they allowed that. The pool was the only thing this site had going for it. Our kids loved it. Also, on the kids note, they had a few activities for them but not as much as some other campgrounds provide. Quiet hours of 11pm to 8am were not enforced at all. In fact, one of the owners had a group of people out in front of their place drinking and being very loud well after 11pm on Friday evening. There was also a ton of car traffic and campers as well all weekend. More than we have seen at other campgrounds. Also had jets from the nearby DHL terminal taking off and flying directly overhead so it was very noisy especially Friday evening late into the nighttime. Overall, this would not be too bad of a campsite if you had older children, say teenage years. We will not return to this campsite.

This camp is very friendly! The owners are great, lots of events for my young kids (including a lake to swim in). Most of the campground (80%-90%) are seasonal, but lots of space for us weekenders too. We will be going again!
