Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Canyon, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

These campsites were amazing! We stayed in the sagebrush area and had a great site with the canyon wall backdrop, wooded area behind us, and a beautiful secluded area with a Picnic table. We camped at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cimarron Canyon State Park, Eagle Nest, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park was beautiful but didn't have any electrical or water hookups. The spots were extremely tight and hard to get into. The surroundings were amazing though. Our site was right on a river. It's a perfect place for primitive camping but wouldn't recommend taking a camper unless you have something very small. We camped at Cimarron Canyon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pikes Peak RV Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park was amazing! The staff were all friendly and very helpful. We were assisted in backing into our site which made it a very stress free arrival. The site was right on a small river with some tree cover. It's location was convenient and everything was very well maintained. We camped at Pikes Peak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Spruce Lake RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very conveniently located to Rocky Mountain park and the scenery around it is beautiful. We had two big complaints. The spaces are very tight and not angled. An employee tried to help us back in and it was virtually impossible. He ended up advising is to pull through someone else's spot behind us to get in. Glad they were gone :/. The close proximity to the other campers also ruined the beauty of the surroundings. Not much point in being somewhere beautiful if every where you look you are looking into someone's else's camper. The biggest complaint is that the dump line at our site was almost full. When we tried to dump our water it filled up and started to overflow. Ended up having to drive 9 hrs with our tanks full to our next stop because there was no one in the office to assist us. Unfortunately the other parks in the area didn't look much different but we would definetly try another if we return. We camped at Spruce Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
