We just returned home to North Carolina, after staying a month for the 5th year at Mt. Hawley Mobile Home and RV Park. As always we were very pleased with our stay. The park is quiet and peaceful, which always makes for a pleasant stay. Mt. Hawley is located in the heart of Peoria, Illinois. When at Mt Hawley you will soon realize the environment is more of a neighborhood than an RV park. As you sit outside in front of your RV under the large shade trees enjoying a wonderful southerly breeze, don't be surprised if a neighbor stops by to give you chat and if you are lucky, a friendly piece of gossip. We always look forward to our return to reunite with fellow RVers we see each year. We call Mt. Hawley our summer home. The staff at Mt. Hawley is so friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, the park manager hand delivers your RV into your site and assures the electric, water, and sewer are all properly connected. He lives in the park too, therefore he is always available for any issues or concerns that may arise. While Mt. Hawley is not fancy, it has everything you need. Water, electric, and sewer hookups are provided on every site and, my personal favorite, a cement pad beside our camper. There is excellent security night lighting. Rabbits and squirrels also make the park home and are a joy to watch running around. The location of this park is excellent. Familiar restaurants, grocery stores, shopping centers, and Walmart are as close as a five minute drive. I would highly recommend Mt. Hawley as a park for an extended summer stay for RVers looking to beat the heat and humidity in the southern states. Morning temperatures in the 60s, afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s, low humidity, a cool breeze, and large shade trees create very pleasant Summer days. Rates are very reasonable. Prices are based on length of stay, one day, week, or month. We look forward to returning to Mt. Hawley in the Spring 2018. We camped at Mt. Hawley Mobile Home & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
