Palmetto Shores RV Resort (formerly Big Water Lake Club Campground), Summerton, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here three separate times - one night each. Liked the park; it has lots of outdoor activities available at park and in area. Many families stay by the week in summer. Park has 2 pools, kids water park area and lazy river. There is a restaurant on site. Park is on lake with two docks. Water and sewer not well located. We camped at Palmetto Shores RV Resort (formerly Big Water Lake Club Campground) in a Motorhome.

Florence RV Park (formerly Florence KOA), Florence, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

No cable, but could use antenna and satellite. A lot of duck droppings. Park needs updating. Picnic tables very old. Water line needs replacing. Pool was clean and staff very friendly. Very hot night we were there so did not spend time outdoors. Fine for overnight stay. We camped at Florence RV Park (formerly Florence KOA) in a Motorhome.

Tall Pines Harbor Campground, Temperanceville, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice clean friendly park. We had cable, wifi good at times but not consistent. The sites were roomy and we were by the newly constructed pool and recreation area which was very nice. Park is on the water so can launch a boat etc. A little out of the way but preferred to staying at Chincoteague Island for pony swim etc. We camped at Tall Pines Harbor Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Chincoteague downtown shops and drove to Blue Crab Bay factory. We love there but snacks and seasoning products.
