Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean & well maintained with nice grass and some trees. Plenty of room for a large motor home with tow car. The check in staff was extremely nice and accommodating. WiFi seems slow at first, but actually ended up being faster than our home WiFi. Very quiet except for train tracks nearby, but almost none at night and it was not a problem. Very close to Mammoth Cave and a couple of restaurants. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Site was not perfectly level, but it's a campground. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Crossroads Travel Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here since it was close to I-75 for one night. The campground appeared to be an older one. The sites were very small, roads were very narrow, not good if you have a larger RV. The sewer location was very far to the back of the site making it necessary to use 2 hose extensions. The person who checked us in was not very friendly just pointed to our campsite from the porch. The only positive things about this campground was it was close to I-75, the internet worked and it had cable. We camped at Crossroads Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over xmas thru NY. We had never stayed here before due to the reviews (under the previous owners). The new owners go out of their way to help their customers, make you feel a part of their family & make your stay here the best it can be. I can't say enough good things about them. They are constantly working to add new patios, improve features like internet access, security & improve the park for their customers. Also, another staff member & his wife (working as Ambassadors here) are the kindest and most generous people we have met in our travels. The laundry is a bit pricey, but there are large banks of washers and dryers , all new, clean and in working order. The security gate is a bit awkward but since the office was already existing their doesn't seem to be a better location for the gate access. There is no pool or playground, but we are not interested in those items. This is a very clean CG run but caring owners. We will stay here again as will visit St Augustine regularly. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA, Trenton, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend with our daughter and 3 granddaughters ages 6,6, and 11. We chose this CG due to the proximity to our home & the amount of activities for the kids as this was their first camping experience. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the CG has a salt water pool, gem mining, jumping pillow and hiking trails. It is a bit off the main highway, but a nice quiet location, especially for touring Chattanooga. The TV had only 10 channels and the wifi was so-so. It was obvious that the owners take pride in keeping the grounds neat. We enjoyed our stay here. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.

Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nice CG and it looks much nicer than all the others we drove past here. Some shade, some grass, very good WiFi, good cable. Not a lot of space to park your toad, but nice space for your MH. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This was a much nicer park than we had expected based on previous reviews. It was in the middle of no where, but the views were spectacular. The amenities were great. We took the local tour which picked us up at the CG. The only issue we had was the shuttle to the dining room only ran at night even though they served 3 meals a day. The walk was about .5 miles away. The food was good and the Gouldings site offered a grocery, gas station as well as gift shop, museum and dining room along with CG and lodge. Don't do laundry here: it is $3 a load. We would stay here again. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Alpen Rose RV Park, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

When we arrived at 5:30PM there were 2 other RVs waiting for their site. The staff very quickly showed us to our site without us having to wait and go to the office to check in. They brought us all the park info to our door. They were very nice and accommodating. This was a very nice RV park. Sites were a good size with gravel and a grassy area with picnic table. The CG sits back well off the road so there is no road noise. The WiFi worked very well. Not a lot of cable channels however. We would stay here again for sure. We camped at Alpen Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

High Plains Camping, Oakley, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was a rather bare campground, but the sites were spacious, the owner very friendly. They will be adding many improvements in the future. A Steakhouse was next door which made it easy for dinning out. We would stay here again for an over night stay. We camped at High Plains Camping in a Motorhome.

Estes Park KOA, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We love KOA campgrounds because we always know what to expect and have always been happy with the ones we have used. This one however is extremely cramped. Our neighbors can look into our windows, we cannot let out our awning and can barely walk out our door. The people working here are very nice, but they have crammed everyone in like sardines which defeats the purpose of camping. There is NO privacy. Would not stay here again. We camped at Estes Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Pine Mountain RV Resort, Pine Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice campground. It was clean, quiet and pretty spacious with lots of amenities. The $45 a night rate was a little high for the location and type of campground. In order to have cable TV access you had to pay $10 a night extra to be on a concrete site. This seemed a bit high. The staff was very friendly. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Myrtle Beach KOA, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We like to stay in KOA parks since we have always had positive experiences. This park is the best park we have ever stayed in. The staff was very helpful and available. They checked us in at the gate, gave us our site and said to come back and register when we settled in. The sites were very ample in size and the park was very clean, well kept and lots of space to walk and 3 blocks to the beach. We hated to leave we enjoyed it so much.Great park!!! We camped at Myrtle Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Golden Isles Vacation Park, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This place was a rat hole. It is the worst place we have ever stayed. We parked next to a "permanent" trailer. Most of the "permanent trailers were falling apart, dirty, cluttered and unkept. We were literally squeezed in next to the next trailer ("permanents") front porch and could hardly get in and out. There was supposed to be a restaurant in the office area, but it was closed which was probably a good thing. The staff was pleasant, but we won't stay there again. We camped at Golden Isles Vacation Park in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park, Sturbridge, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We were not happy with this campground. We stayed here last year and were also very unhappy, but were willing to give them another chance. We are 2 retired travelers with no children to entertain. We stayed here due to the location. This is a huge campground with hundreds of small children riding tricyles down the middle of the streets. It was like a 3 ring circus. The campground obviously caters to young children and families. It is extremely noisy and sites are crammed close together. When we arrived there were 3 trucks from other campers parked in our site. We had to wait for them to be moved so that we could park. The other campers glared at us as if WE were imposing on them. There was no WI-FI at our site. We will not stay there again. We camped at Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Lancaster / New Holland KOA , New Holland, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful campground. The views of the Amish countryside are spectacular. The owners are very courteous and take great pride in keeping the campground neat, clean and accommodating their guests. Since this is not a campground with playgrounds and activities for children, those camping with children looking for entertainment would probably enjoy another campground. We are 2 retired travelers and would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped at Lancaster / New Holland KOA in a Motorhome.
