Indian Creek Recreation Area Louisiana, Woodworth, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in a premium single pull thru (two pull thru's back to back in an arced drive) which was perfect to camp with our friends. We were in spots 83 and 84. The view of the lake was thru the trees but no other campsites between us and the lake edge. It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful, even with showers each day. This campground is not a Louisiana State Park but part of Louisiana Department of Forestry, hence, lots and lots of trees. We had a large tree right next to our pad so there were many roots at ground level. Some slope to the area but not a big drop off. We were about 50 yards from the lake edge with a small playground area between us and the lake. Perfect for families with small children. We didn't have a tow vehicle but would have had room for one on our pad. Easy to get in and out of our spot, even in our 40' Class A MH. Only drawback was no sewer hookup. They do have two dump stations within the park though. We camped at Indian Creek Recreation Area Louisiana in a Motorhome.

Percy Quin State Park, Mccomb, Mississippi

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in spot 44, which had full hookup for sewer, water and up to 50 amps. We have a 40' RV. Shade both morning and afternoon, but not full shade all day. Good, level spot that was fairly easy to back in to. We could see the lake through the trees. Quiet, peaceful area. Right across from bathroom and showers that were super clean and air conditioned. The trash dumpster was only about 50 yards away. Access roads into park are two lanes but narrow with many areas having no shoulders. Once we were in the RV area there were one way narrow lanes but this spot was easy access in and out. I had called before we left and talked to staff in the office (super nice) and she assured me we could get in and out with our large Class A motor home. This was extremely helpful and made us feel better about going to this site. We didn't have a tow vehicle but if we would have there would have been just enough room on the asphalt pad or we could have parked in the grass. This is a corner spot so we had extra room on our passenger side which was a plus. We camped at Percy Quin State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We did go to Mr. Whiskers since we saw earlier posts about it. The service was good but the food wasn't seasoned enough for our tastes.
