My Brother's Place Campground, Houlton, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Neat, well cared for campground, but when we got here we found out that 50 amp service was not available because the 50 amp sites were too mushy. A little money spent to put in a few more 50 amp sites and to put compacted gravel into the sites would greatly improve it. Still a good value for the money. We will stay here again on our way back through. We camped at My Brother's Place Campground in a Motorhome.

Cold Springs Camp Resort, Weare, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground. The owners have spared no effort to make it interesting and family friendly. Helpful staff. Entrance and exit roads were a bit tricky and confusing, but once you figured them out, they were no problem. We needed an oil change, and nearby Cold Springs RV Center provided prompt, excellent service. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Cold Springs Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Moose River Campground, St Johnsbury, Vermont

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Owners very friendly and helpful. Nice campground next to the beautiful Moose River. They did have problems with their septic system that required a lot of attention. For this reason, you were not allowed to use your washer/dryer. No cell phone connection on Verizon, but the campground had an excellent WiFi. If in the area, we would stay there again. We camped at Moose River Campground in a Motorhome.

North Pole Resorts, Wilmington, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground, beautiful setting, staff can't do enough for you. Very generous sites, but we had trouble finding a spot in which we could level our big rig. We eventually did, but were nearly off our site. The big rig next door to us apparently had the same problem since they were parked nearly diagonally on their site. Still, we will stop there again when we're back in the neighborhood. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

Niagara Falls North / Lewiston KOA, Lewiston, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is definitely a family campground. They have a nice looking pool and a fair playground. The owners appear to be trying to upgrade, but much needs to be done. It is definitely not big rig friendly. Sites were too short, and the pads were not very firm. When we put our jacks down, they sunk in damaging one. This was after we had put down 18"X18" pads underneath them. If you make reservations, be sure to check what you are getting. We were surprised to find that we didn't have sewer connections. We won't stay here again. We camped at Niagara Falls North / Lewiston KOA in a Motorhome.

Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

What a well kept secret. Only miles away from the Cuyahoga National Park, this campground was a jewel in itself. We only stayed one night, but would have stayed longer if we had known how nice it was. Well run, well maintained, beautiful setting. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Motorhome.
