This was our first and last time camping at Merry Meadows. We were very excited to camp here because of all the amenities listed and beautiful atmosphere. The first day we arrived (Monday) the pool and mini golf were closed. The second day we stopped in and spoke with the guy working at the snack shack, which is where you show your pool pass and purchase the mini golf. We wanted to make sure it was open, etc. We changed into swimsuits and 10 minutes later were told they were closing the pool, mini golf and snack shack early because not a lot of people have been so far (pool hours are 12-8 pm). We went at 3 pm. The arcade was also closed. The front office and store closed at 1:00 pm.
We were unable to use the amenities we would have liked to use and why we chose Merry Meadows. We also have young children and found out that they also are not allowed to use floaties in the pool which is absurd. I understand not allowing rafts, etc., but not allowing floaties or life jackets for children who can't swim is cruel and ridiculous. You could not pay me to camp here again. It was a waste of our money. We camped at Merry Meadows Recreation Farm (formerly Morris Meadows) in a Travel Trailer.
