May, 2017 -
My family of 5 has stayed at Zims since May 31st 2017 to present (August 9, 2017) and it has been an amazing experience. There is a lot of information that is lacking in the previous reviews. First of all and the most amazing part is this is truly a PET FRIENDLY park. My family has 2 pet sheep (NOT LIVESTOCK), a dog, and 2 cats. Yes we are like a traveling petting zoo. The owner not only allowed us to come when all other pet friendly rv parks in mccall turned us away for LIVESTOCK, he also treats our baby's like part of the family. 2nd - Having 3 kids, the recreational hall has been great. There is a very large hall with 2 pool tables, and arcade center with quite a few games, great selections of cold drinks and snacks; not to mention a wonder pool. The water in the large pool is nice and warm and surprisingly refreshing in the heat of the day. He also has a large hot springs pool with is AMAZING for sore muscles after a day of hiking. There is a gate at the end of the field that leads to the river for great fishing or just having fun. My kids like to look for turtles. He also has WiFi for those who need to keep update. 3rd - the customer service is OUTSTANDING! I can tell you that I have seen individuals be nice, but the owner has always treated my kids like they were family. He has been wonderful to our family and does a lot to promote a family friendly environment. 4th - the rv spots are very large. Larger then most I have seen. The hookups (water/electric) are great and the dump station is so convenient. There are fire rings for all of the dry campers and several at RV sites. There are tall wooden picnic tables with covering for shade and portable toilets and water for the dry campers. The owner always keeps the grass cut and looking very nice. We have been here quite a while and he still makes sure our site is perfect. Lastly, this place is absolutely amazing and perfect for people truly looking for a PET FRIENDLY, relaxing yet entertaining place to make the most wonderful family memories. We camped at Zim's Hot Springs in a Fifth Wheel.
The Granite cafe is the most amazing for breakfast and lunch and the Intersection restaurant is the best for dinner. The Dollar store is not your typical dollar store, it has everything you could possibly need. It was like a smaller version of Wal-Mart. The little stores along the main street have some of the greatest surprises in them. I recommend spending an afternoon and walking through them. Also the library is also a great place to take the family. My kids had so much fun.
