I've never written a review before and have stayed in tons of campground across the US (and have never left one without staying) but this was such a bad experience I had to warn others. Owner called to say we should go to directly to site since they would not be there. Told we should pull in to site then unhook toad. We confirmed our length (38') and were told again that there was plenty of space to pull in and then unhook. Fortunately we did not listen because we never would have been able to get toad straight enough to unhook and would have been stuck since we would not have been able to go forward or backwards. They should have known better! Site was pull-in and front was facing workshop instead of the pretty pond (why would they do that?). Site also had gravestones of 3 dogs on it. Water hookup was in ground and when we lifted cover the water spigot was swarming with dozens of roaches. Called to ask to switch sites but owner wouldn't even though there were empty sites. We said we were leaving since we couldn't use water and he asked where we were from. Said FL so we are used to bugs but this was not acceptable. He said "that explains it." No apology or offer to fix problem-only that he was charging us for 1 night. As we were driving on the only road out of the campground the top of our RV was badly scraped by a low hanging branch that was unavoidable. They really don't seem to understand the length and height concerns of a Class A motor home. We called again to say tree needs trimming and again no apology or concern on his part. We asked what he meant by "that explains it." He said everyone from FL is difficult. Didn't think we were difficult at all since we really wanted to stay the 3 nights we had planned but were not willing to stick our hands into a roach nest. Pretty place but owner is incredibly nasty, rude and obnoxious and site was a roach infested pet cemetery. Everyone should avoid this place but those from FL should absolutely boycott it. We camped at Whispering Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.
