Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground, Apple Valley, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The bathrooms are immaculate as is the campground. Full hookups in one loop. The other two loops are electric only and primitive. These non full hookup loops are more private and you can add a tent. Not in the full-hookup look - no tents allowed and spaces are tight although many back up to woods and have trees and grassy areas nearby.

If you don't need full hookups and don't have a huge travel trailer, choose the electric only loop. It is much more private, water stations nearby all along the road and you can erect a tent with your trailer. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Minneapolis Southwest KOA, Jordan, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The people are nice and helpful. The bathrooms and showers are old and run down but clean. That's not the problem. The problem is the campsites are so cramped and packed in together you better make good friends with people who are parked less than 5 feet away. I was given one campsite that literally divided into two by a large tree. I was moved to another site that was so small it was terrible. Very narrow gravel pad, not level (sloped front to back) with a 5 foot (if you're lucky) strip of grass outside your door where 1/2 of it is mud and the other half grass. Typical KOA...and never worth the money unless you like camping on top of strangers. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.
