Carmela RV Park, Glenns Ferry, Idaho

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park. Only 30 amp service but they do have sewer connections. Site 16 is probably the best spot but still in range of the golfers. Note for 16 - there's a sign that says "don't park on the grass" but for this space, you have to. If staying in any of the spots right next to the golf course (especially 14), watch out for golf balls hitting your rig. We had to move from this spot after two hit us. If they had fire rings and/or picnic tables, I would rate better. Note: this RV park is listed on Good Sam's website but they do NOT participate. I was told by management that they are trying to get their park removed from Good Sam's website. So, just be forewarned there are no additional discounts (except senior and military). We camped at Carmela RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We had dinner at the winery across the street. I had the prime rib (Fri and Sat only) and it was very good. They will give you good recommendations on which wine to try (we had the wine tasters so sampled several). The entrance sign does note a brunch on Sunday (we would have loved to try it but had to leave early Sunday morning).

Canyon Springs RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park. The paved spots are nice and level. Great stop-over park. It's near I-84 so very convenient. We were greeted by the host and lead to our spot. It's a good thing because the site markings and the hook ups are kind of confusing. I did hear a lot of trains and the skeet range nearby is definitely noticeable during the day. Fake grass between spots but my dog didn't mind. They have a pond that borders the park and it's nice with the fountains in the middle and even a little dock to walk out on. I was told it's stocked with fish! I'll bring my pole in case there's a next time. We camped at Canyon Springs RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Costco is just up 84 east a few exits in Nampa, ID. As far as the skeet range that's within ear shot of the park... instead of complaining about the noise (didn't really bother me). I would've rather went and joined them. If they have rentals, which a lot of skeet ranges do. I'll have to Google if passing through again.

Bruneau Dunes State Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the Eagle Cove campground. 30 amp service, water but no sewer. They do have a dump station in the park just down the road from the CG. It's a nice campground with picnic tables and fire rings. I do recommend Eagle Cove Campground over the wagon wheel. We have stayed in Bruneau Dunes State Park quite a few times over the years and it's always clean with level sites. We camped at Bruneau Dunes State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If staying in the park on the weekend during the summer months be sure and visit the observatory. If staying in the park during the spring or fall be sure to take a walk on the dunes. In the summertime the sand is so hot you can barely walk on it. Note: No vehicles are allowed on the sand dunes. So if you're bringing your ATVs, UTVs or motorcycles, you will be only allowed to operate them on the gravel roads.
