Monroe Co. / Toledo North KOA, Petersburg, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was crazy busy on the weekend but emptied out during the week. They have a bunch of things for kids to do so I can understand why. We were there to visit family and work since it was close to family and had a decent cell signal that all worked out fine. However, not having children with us and not wanting to dodge children everytime we stepped outside I wouldn't stay here if it wasn't for location and cell signal. We camped at Monroe Co. / Toledo North KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A little too pricey for my taste but it was near where I wanted to be and just off the highway with a good signal. If you have kids they will enjoy it, especially the large servings of good ice cream you can get from their ice cream stand.

Cove Lake State Park, Caryville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean campground with helpful staff and the sites aren't on top of each other. Restrooms and showers were cleaner than any state park I have stayed in, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. I would have given a higher overall rating if the site layout for our site hadn't been weird. We stayed in a site that looks like a pull through but had three sites on it. What made it so weird was the access road was one way and the loop the three sites were on was a right turn to pull in. There wasn't enough room to go around another trailer so you really back in. The only practical way I could see to make it work was to go around the loop in the wrong direction and back in. Additionally, with the water on the opposite side of the trailer I had to run my hose under my trailer. Not a big deal just weird. We camped at Cove Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.
