Golden Eagle Ranch RV Park & Campground, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful in the Mountains. Owners objective is to keep a balance of nature and comfort. Very helpful staff. (Can't give them enough stars for this) Clean bathrooms and showers. Pretty trails to hike. Small lake to fish. (avid fishermen this is not for you. It's just for kids or fun) Fire rings and picnic tables provided. Everyone there is friendly. The Historic May Insect museum is located here. Minimal charge to see but worth it. Thing to remember here is that you are camping in nature and this isn't a concrete parking. It would ruin the ambience. Yes you are next to an Army base. If you get to hear Revelie or Taps be proud of your military men and women. I saw several RV parks in the area and they looked like parking lots.. I will be back.. We camped at Golden Eagle Ranch RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a touch south of main Colorado Springs on Highway 115 off of I-25 towards Canon City where the Royal Gorge Bridge is (34 miles). It's about 17 minutes to Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs. There are many stores and nice shopping centers near on 115 or Nevada street. My biggest tip is going here expecting real camping in the mountains.
