Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Fabulous. We were very impressed by this park. The spots were paved (OK we need 2 leveling block) and long enough for our tow vehicle and trailer. The RV park was convenient to grocery shopping, post office, camping service (showers, laundry, dump station, fresh water, and thirsty elk.) There was a bus stop nearby and a bike trail out the back of the park. The sewer, power, cable, and water were located mid trailer. The best of all, you are in the freaking Grand Canyon. A 10-minute bus/bike ride and you are on the south Rim looking at one of the 7 wonders of the world. Now the downside. If you are into Wi-Fi, they ain't got none. You have go to the park HQ. Park employees warn you not to leave your sewer hose connect or furry woodland creatures will chew holes in it. This is the best place to stay if you want to see the Grand Canyon and not the highway into and out of the park each day. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Coeur D'Alene RV Resort, Post Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

When we arrived at the "resort" it was pouring rain and the covered driveway in front of registration was blocked by the employees that were parked under it. I had to walk in the rain to register. The streets were paved and narrow. The sites were gravel and mostly level. There was an indoor pool, recreation area and some basic RV supplies. The resort was very run down and lacking in maintenance. The tennis court had no nets and was used for landscaping debris. The full time residence had tires and old batteries stacked up, plus trailer skirting in various stages of falling off. Most of the full time residence lots were very trashy. Most of the site number lights did not work. Our electrical plug in box almost fell off when I plugged in. My wife did not feel safe and would not stay by herself when I made a quick run to the store. We camped at Coeur D'Alene RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Columbia Sun RV Resort, Kennewick, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Best RV park, we stayed at during our 30-day adventure. The park featured, spacious lots, paved roads, and the utilities were well located. Lots of kids scooting around on bikes. My wife felt very safe. The staff was great, helpful and escorted us to our spot. The staff hosted a free pancake breakfast, ice cream social, wine tasting, and a karaoke party. Note: wine tasting and karaoke is always a bad mix. Now the bad. The wind blew constantly. Not their fault, but we could not put out the awing. The showers were very clean and not women to the left and men to the right, but family style. Each shower was accessed by an outside door and you enter a small changing area. The shower was activated by a push button and would time out and shut off after 20 seconds. My wife has long thick hair and this was hair day. I had to stand outside the shower and smack the "on" button every 20 seconds until she finished. Only a minor issue and something to laugh about later. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Our GPS was not updated and did not show that the road over the railroad tracks were complete. GPS took us on a scenic route to get to the park. Follow common sense and not the GPS.

Pony Express RV Resort, North Salt Lake, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The park was clean, and well maintained. The wife felt safe while there. We stayed in the "cheap" pull-thru near the freeway. For me, the traffic noise was very very loud. Even though the weather was cool, we could not sit out and enjoy the evening. There is an awesome bike trail just off the property that ran for miles next to a river. Also the space had a tree on it which made it difficult to get the slide out extended. Once positioned we could not get our tow vehicle into the space. Had to park in a nearby visitor spot. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
