Lake San Antonio / North Shore, Paso Robles, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

On arrival you specify if you want hook-ups and then site selection is first-come first serve. The location is quite nice, overlooking a large lake, with boating/fishing access. Not a lot of shade. Off season on a Monday in October we had the place virtually to ourselves, but reportedly busy in summer. All campsite areas are well-worn and in need of investment. Parking pads crumbling, fire rings missing from many sites, etc. Bathrooms very dated with group showers - all broom clean but not very appealing. We would come back again but only in off-peak times. We stayed here in a camper van. We camped at Lake San Antonio / North Shore in a Motorhome.

Sage Creek Campground (NPS Campground), Badlands National Park, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Park rangers at visitors center discouraged us from attempting to camp here In our 20 foot class B; 12 mile unpaved road to access (part of which can be avoided), first come first served sites are intended for tents and tend to fill up. They made the helpful suggestion that we try the dispersed sites just outside Pinnacles entrance, which we enjoyed. We camped at Sage Creek Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.
