Convenient to I-10, accommodating host, ample items in camp store. Road/site surfaces could use attention, but overall setting in the forest is awesome. We camped at Triple C's Campground & RV Park (Formerly Chattahoochee/Tallahassee W' in a Motorhome.

This was a stopover for us as we passed through spending only one night here. Many area businesses are no longer open due to the storm devastation. Stop and get provisions before you get to this area.

Rocky's Convenience Store & Campground, Perry, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Because of its location along remote Hwy 98 in northern Florida this campground is in a perfect location. There is plenty of room in the grass pull-through sites for big rigs and full hookups. Most of the perimeter sites are semi-permanent residents (this is a popular fishing and hunting area) but the sites are kept clean and neat. Lots of room to roam with your dog for exercise. The restroom/shower rooms are absolutely the cleanest we have come across. Their convenience store is fitted with a deli/fryer/pizza oven and they open at 4:30 AM and will cook breakfast sandwiches to order. The sites are all grass and we thought there may be a problem with rain and being spongy, but not so! Very firm substrate to support our rig. We camped at Rocky's Convenience Store & Campground in a Motorhome.

Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort, Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $83.00
Overall Rating:

Pet friendly facility and dog doo-doo stations strategically placed. Mature trees provide shade to many sites. Fast WiFi. Level concrete site. Landscaping for privacy between sites but very close to our neighbors. Full hookups that were easily accessed including cable. Nice size pool and common area patio and hot tub. Secure feeling because entire site surrounded by privacy fence. A zoo bordered one side of the property. Wide concrete roadways allowed easy big rig turning. Convenient to Grand Lagoon and restaurants/arcades, ten minutes from the beach and ten minutes from Walmart and Harley-Davidson shop. We camped at Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

1) Front Beach Rd. is torn up all along the beach (July 2018). Difficult to get into and out of businesses along the beach on the North side. 2) We enjoyed Hammerhead Fred's food and atmosphere. We also enjoyed Off the Hook's food and atmosphere overlooking the Grand Lagoon.

Pandion Ridge Luxury RV Resort, Orange Beach, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

By far the most "roomy" campsite that we have ever stayed in. New facility means no shade yet because the trees are still Live Oak saplings. Full hookups with new-style lighted utility pedestals. More than one dog friendly area that we saw. Wide roadways and ultra-level concrete site. Great water pressure and screaming fast WiFi. More than enough room for our coach and toad. We camped at Pandion Ridge Luxury RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Destin West RV Resort, Fort Walton Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $134.00
Overall Rating:

Well landscaped with blossoming oleander that provided a natural screen between the campsites. Nice touch. Plenty of palm trees, and green space to walk your animals. Pavers for site parking. Utilities were very close. A gate on the property led next door to an arcade with pizza, boat rentals, wave runners, fishing excursions, catamaran rides along with a restaurant/bar and live music. Paved walkway to the water for launching your kayaks and canoes. The grassy areas as well as paved areas were neat and meticulously maintained. No coins necessary as the laundry machines are not coin operated. They are credit/debit card friendly, which we love. We will be back. The WiFi was adequate for perusing the Internet but not for uploading videos. We camped at Destin West RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stella Mare RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park along the Gulf of Mexico. Plenty of palm trees and neatly trimmed grassy areas. Extra wide concrete roadways with storm drains and curbs. Pet-friendly areas to let your dogs run and play. Kid's splash fountain and nice large swimming pool. Our site was extra long at 90' pull-through. We were set up with a park bench but no picnic table. We camped at Stella Mare RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Gulf Beach RV Resort, Biloxi, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

Brand new and clean. All paved asphalt driving surfaces and concrete parking pads. Even though there are no pull-through big rig spots, several of the sites were accommodating 45'+ bus-style units during our stay. Grassy areas were mowed and trimmed. Dog walking in front of pool area. Swimming pool is 3' deep to 5' deep and open all the time. A new Waffle House restaurant is on the property at the frontage road. Laundry is nice and clean. Management was very cordial and helpful. We camped at Gulf Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sunset Point on Lake LBJ, Marble Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Neatly mowed and trimmed lawn, trees and shrubs. Clean and level concrete pads/patios/sidewalks. Not too old asphalt roadways. Our lot was awesome as the utilities were laid out well. Beautiful scenery on the lake. Spotlessly clean shower house/restroom and laudry room with ironing board and iron. Adequate WiFi connectivity. Service personnel and host staff were very cordial and helpful. We traveled here from Florida and we will be back! We camped at Sunset Point on Lake LBJ in a Motorhome.

I-35 RV Park, Elm Mott, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

All paved roadways, but gravel parking sites. Rain splashing on dusty gravel made lower section of our rig very dirty with gravel dust/mud. The site was not close to level. Very fast fiber optic WiFi connectivity. Nice pool....but it was right on I-35 and to sit around it or swim was very noisy. The noise was subdued at night while inside our rig because the A/C drowned out the highway noise. The hosts were very cordial and the service was good. We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cedar Mills Marina & Resort, Gordonville, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very level gravel lots, with fire ring, picnic table, shade and great water pressure. Wifi was weak but good Verizon 3G phone signal. Clean restroom and shower. I did not see a dog park but there are several natural areas to walk your dogs. The children enjoyed the petting zoo. The marina offers fishing guides but no boat rentals. Boat ramp is accessible. Restaurant and bar serve excellent food, however they are not open every day. The office offers firewood, ice and souvenirs for sale as well as camping and boutique items. Friendly hostess and competent maintenance staff. Grass was mowed and trimmed. Gravel roads made it dusty. We camped at Cedar Mills Marina & Resort in a Motorhome.

Take adult beverages with you! This is a dry county in Texas. You must drive 30 miles to get beer. If you drive into Oklahoma (much shorter drive) the alcohol content is 3.2% alcohol.

Texan RV Ranch, Mansfield, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

All driving and parking surfaces are granite pea gravel. Our pull-through site is 6" out of level. This facility is nice and very adequate, but it is not "manicured." Many mature trees provide shade to several sites. Dog park is close to common areas. Full hookups are located well and in close proximity to our connect points on our rig. Good WiFi connectivity. Nice clean pool and adjacent covered pavilion with gas grill/charcoal grill and picnic tables, playground, horseshoe pit and basketball goal. The restroom/bath house/laundry facilities are very clean. We camped at Texan RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Mill Creek Ranch RV & Cottage Resort, Canton, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is very nicely landscaped with trees at most every site. Brand new extra-wide concrete roadways. Level concrete site pads and patio spaces. Sites are equipped with a white, lighted utilities pedestal with a clear marking of each site number. The utilities are in the perfect spot for our rig with good water pressure, clean power. The maintenance crew was mowing/trimming when we arrived. Pool at the office was clean and the area surrounding it was well maintained. Plenty of mowed "green space" with lakes and ponds to walk your pets. When in East Texas we will stay here again. We camped at Mill Creek Ranch RV & Cottage Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Canton is a shopping mecca during their "First Monday Trade Days." It is advertised as the largest yard sale in America. The entire town is a yard sale. I think it would be worthwhile to stay at this campground during the festivities.

Reunion Lake RV Resort, Ponchatoula, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Reunion Lake RV Resort is very clean...the concrete roadways and pads are clean and white! No gravel and no dirt. The sod is green and cut. The park is meticulously maintained. The pull-through sites are amply situated to allow parking for your tow vehicle. Several of the back-in spots have a concrete pad in the rear with picnic table and room to erect an easy-up shade canopy. Each site has 50amp/30amp/20amp power, city water, sewer connection and cable TV. Teens were enjoying the game room as well as water features on the lake. Other amenities included a very clean kids' pool, food concession facility (good fries and hamburgers, a lazy river and two very popular pool-side bars. Absolutely the best RV Campground we have visited so far. We camped at Reunion Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
