Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA, Sallisaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Office personnel was friendly and knew the area. Gave us a lot of great ideas for things to see. This is a family oriented park. Very quick and easy check in process and the hookup went quickly without any issues. The roads in the park were gravel. Site was gravel and dirt. Had a lot of rain during our visit and had lots of mud around unit. Mostly level. Many big beautiful trees but was still satellite friendly. Had cable TV but we didn't use it. Picked up 15 OTA channels. Wi-Fi was fair most of the time. Verizon worked well. Nice dog park. Nice playground that was well taken care of. lots of equipment. Basketball and volleyball courts. Showers and Rest rooms were neat and clean. Laundry room was neat and clean. Washer $1.75. Dryer $1.25. Picnic table needed some repair. Fire ring. Pool was closed for the season. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA in a Motorhome.

Carlsbad KOA, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very quick and easy check in process. Personal friendly and helpful. Hookups quickly completed. No Wi-Fi unless you went to the office area. Satellite friendly. Verizon worked well. About 12 miles from Carlsbad town and about 45 miles to the Caverns. About a hour away from Roswell. This is one of the cleanest parks we've ever stayed in. After each unit departed someone came and made sure it was clean. After our next door neighbor left they came and even picked up his cigarette butts. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Motorhome.

Krazy K RV Park, Camp Verde, Arizona

Overall Rating:

Called to make reservation with Passport America. When we arrived they would not give us the Passport discount. Very hard to get to park and it is only a few feet from interstate so it was noisy. Supposed to have 50 amp service but only had 30 amp when we arrived. Satellite friendly. Verizon worked well. Check in Lady was friendly and helpful under the circumstance. Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This park has 1800 plus spots. A lot of them are park models. Stayed for several days but didn't use any facilities because we had family in the area and spent most of our time with them. Very quick and easy check in process. Escorted to the site but had a hard time backing into spot because of the very narrow roads. All interior roads are paved and this is an adult park only. Hookups quickly completed. I appreciate the guard gate at the entrance but night time when needed there wasn't a guard on duty. Satellite friendly. Verizon worked well. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Codorniz Recreation Area Campground COE, Raymond, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Like most COE campgrounds, this one is well off the beaten path. Twenty miles from Chowchilla. Avenue 26 out of town is very rough. Have to run slow! We stayed 8 days over the Labor Day weekend and the place was packed till Monday then we were one of only two people there. It was wonderful! Our site was hard to level the unit but a lot of them were more level. Big site with awning over the big picnic table. Nice fire ring. Our cell service (Verizon) and hotspot worked well. The Volunteers were GREAT! We saw them patrol the park regularly and very friendly. The park is also patrolled by the Sheriffs department. (I was stopped and warned for not using my seat belt.) Morgan, the park Ranger was more then helpful. He spent more then 30 minutes standing in the hot sun telling us about how the water level fluctuates more than 40 feet during the year. No sewer but the dump station was convenient and easy to use. My only complaint is the big scratches down the side of my unit. My RV is 13ft tall and the branches are only 12ft off the ground. Make sure you have all the supplies you need. It is twenty miles to town. We camped at Codorniz Recreation Area Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Chinook Bend RV Resort, Lincoln City, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Roads are gravel and VERY rough. No Wi-Fi, even though they say there is. I had my phone right there and asked why I could not get on and they said it was spotty, but I could never get on (they tell you that you have to be in the building by the street to get on, but not even there.) It is very basic, fisherman's kind of place. Could use some upkeep, but was OK. Nice walking path. We camped at Chinook Bend RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed in a 45' motor-home to visit the Redwoods and Crescent City. Easy to find from Hwy 101. Paved road thru park then gravel into site. Tight bends, very advisable to unhook toad at check in area.Site was level and had good utilities. Stayed in site #43 ( back in ) among the Redwood trees.
