White Acres Campground, Bardstown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

RV Park Reviews: Stayed 3 nights on group event. RV park has potential to be a gem but given few other RV choices in area, owners don't seem inclined to bring this park up to acceptable standards. Very surprised they carry the Good Sam designation? Park needs significant maintenance and updating ... particularly the bathhouse. Sites in need of leveling and other maintenance (electric post connection was loose and water pressure was very low). Our site was a Pull-in and next site over was a Back-in so although very close to next site ...on patio side we had nice green space between the next site over. Site was plenty long enough but was extremely narrow so when hugged one edge still had door steps off the gravel on other side. Gravel sites could use widening, leveling, grading and more gravel coverage. Although Bathhouse was relatively clean it was dismal - bordering on run-down with old fixtures, no water pressure, little to no hot water and shower room stall doors were old unfinished plywood sheets that looked like they came off an old decrepit barn. Unfortunately, not many other RV park options in Bardstown area so owners not motivated to improve?? We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Kansas City East / Oak Grove KOA, Oak Grove, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

6 rating for RV Park Reviews. Overall very nice facility. This is a "Holiday" KOA. Sites were gravel with good coverage of larger size gravel and plenty long enough and wide enough but a bit unlevel side to side. Decent (but not great) spacing between sites. The bathhouse was very nice (looked recently updated) and kept very clean. The office store was well stocked. The Staff was great and very helpful. Only issue was WiFi. Was not able to hold WiFi signal at site 22 in middle of park. Was able to get signal at office but lost signal by time walked back to site. This downgraded my review by 1 star. We camped at Kansas City East / Oak Grove KOA in a Motorhome.

Sioux Falls KOA, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

8 rating for RV Park Reviews. Stayed one night during travel. Deluxe site with concrete pad and large concrete patio with table, chairs and gas grill (no fire ring due to City restrictions). Grounds are nice but right off of I-90 so a bit of road noise but very convenient on/off for travel. Not sure I would make this a "destination" park. Staff was very friendly and helpful with good service. Office had nice stocked store. Bathhouse was well maintained, nice and kept clean. Site had Cable TV but fairly limited number of channels but fine for short stay. We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

: 9 rating for RV Park Reviews. Stayed 11 nights. Overall this RV Park was very, very nice with outstanding grounds and surroundings just 3 miles outside of Hill City, SD. The site was fine but just barely long enough for my 25 ft. coach and tow car (total 41 ft); wide enough but not spacious but there was great green space between most sites. The gravel was of the small cinder type so when damp/wet stuck to shoes to be drug into RV. Could use larger gravel and a bit more gravel to cover site. The office had a very well stocked store and the staff was very helpful with great service. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Great Escape RV Park & Campground, Higginsville, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

8 rating for RV Park Reviews: Stayed 1 night during travel. Overall good facility but not exceptional. The staff/owner's service was very good which enhanced ratings. Sites were plenty long enough but a bit on the narrow side with only 8-10 feet of green space between sites. Bathhouse was nice and clean but a bit on the old/tired side. Good wi-fi but no Cable TV. Right off of I-70 so very convenient for an overnight travel stay. We camped at Great Escape RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Manchester KOA, Manchester, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 1 travel night. Very nice overall. Just off of I-24. Site was premium with wide concrete pad so door steps extended onto concrete. Park had a hot tub (portable) that was clean and water kept spa hot! The grounds were very well kept and clean including the bathhouse. Helpful staff. The only downside was the highway noise from adjoining I-24 when outside on patio but not overly noticeable when inside RV. Would definitely stay here again! We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.

Louisville South KOA, Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $82.00
Overall Rating:

Overall very nice facility. This is a "Holiday" KOA. Sites were fairly spacious and well maintained (ours was large gravel/rock with good coverage so minimal tracking into RV). We had a deluxe concrete patio with nice bench and table/chairs. The bathhouse was nice and kept very clean. The office store was well stocked. The Staff was great and very helpful. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

Newport / I-40 / Smoky Mountains KOA, Newport, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one travel night. Overall this RV park barely rates fair ...tired and a bit run down. The sites are just OK and fairly level. They could use more gravel/rock to cover sites. Location a bit off of I-40 so you hear highway noise when outside on the patio but not overly noticeable when in RV. One issue is their sub-par cable TV set up. It requires an adapter to be plugged into the back of your TV which is very problematic if (like us) you have a flat mounted TV that is not on a swing out bracket. So Cable TV is essentially worthless here. Also, their office store was completely out of bagged ice which we found unacceptable. We camped at Newport / I-40 / Smoky Mountains KOA in a Motorhome.

Raleigh Oaks RV Resort, Four Oaks, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights. We reserve 10 rating only for "exceptional" and overall this RV Resort was exceptional by all accounts and exceeded our expectations. First, it was recently completely renovated. The facilities are as nice as we've ever seen at an RV resort/park. They provide individual private bathhouses that were incredibly nice and kept spotlessly. Their fitness room was well equipped and outstanding. They have a great pool and area with an in-ground hot tub kept at a perfect 102 degrees. The laundry room was 1st rate. The sites were spacious and well maintained (ours was a rock with very good rock coverage) with good space between sites. We will definitely look for a reason to stay at this "destination" RV Resort again! We camped at Raleigh Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wilmington KOA, Wilmington, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 nights. Overall very nice. We had a gravel/rock pad with a deluxe concrete patio site. Sites were level and well maintained with good gravel/rock coverage. The bathhouse was very nice and spotless. The office had a well-stocked store and their laundry room was outstanding with newer washers and dryers and enough of both and a waiting area with comfortable furniture a TV and magazines, just off of the main office area. The Staff was great and very helpful. We camped at Wilmington KOA in a Motorhome.

Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights. Very nice overall. The setting was outstanding (old Plantation with trees and lake) and quiet area. The sites were nice and wide with grass buffers between sites. Our gravel site was level and well maintained with good gravel coverage. They offered individual private bathhouses that were nice and kept very clean. The office had a well stocked store and the staff was great and very helpful. The only opportunity for this RV resort would be to expand their laundry facility as they could use a few more washers and dryers for the size of this park. We camped at Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA in a Motorhome.

Savannah Oaks RV Resort, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed three nights. Overall this RV Park was just fair and we were a bit disappointed. We had a concrete pad site in which the concrete was barely wide enough for our 25' coach so when the patio door was open the steps extended off the concrete. So zero advantage to having a concrete pad other than very level. The patio area was not concrete and was severely lacking in gravel / rock so mainly had a sandy soil foundation which tracked into the RV. There was not much space between sites. Bathhouse was nice and kept clean. Found the staff to be helpful. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 1 travel night. Overall facility was just OK. Site conditions were sub-par as they needed more gravel to counter the sandy soil and mud from recent rain. Site was level with adequate space. Based on other earlier reviews we went a bit out of our way to stay at Fair Harbor and were a bit disappointed. Staff was nice and helpful. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.
