Seaport RV Resort, Old Mystic, Connecticut

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is under new ownership (2 weeks) I rated it this because there are NO sewer hookups and the reservation person said full hookups were available. Large pull thru sites all gravel roads and pretty close to your neighbors. The main building bathrooms were clean, the remote building were not. Overall I would try another location if sewers were needed. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a trailer park with campsites available for rent. I found the place very friendly. My problem was the restroom. Not very clean and only one bathhouse for the entire park. A little traffic noise. We camped at Alburg RV Resort and Trailer Sales in a Motorhome.

New York City North / Newburgh KOA, Plattekill, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

A typical KOA in the woods. Staff was friendly. My complaint with the campground is reservations. We requested a site that had satellite (DirecTV) access. We were assured that they had one for us. We arrived and the site was surrounded by trees. We had to try various sites until we found one of three that had access. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Older park but in good shape. Helpful staff. Sites are a mixture of dirt and gravel. Gravel interior roads. Sites are fairly level. Some shade. Bathrooms are older but very clean and plentiful. The campground is in the "boonies" but does have traffic noise from I87. WiFi is not full time, but 15 minutes 4 times a day. Cell phone is Verizon country.(AT&T no signal) We camped at Lake George Schroon Valley Resort in a Motorhome.

Michigan City Campground, Michigan City, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Internal roads are gravel and bumpy. Sites gravel and some are not very level. Sites are 20' apart (close). Large enough for big rigs (pull-thrus). Was an old KOA, so facilities are old, but maintained. Staff is helpful and cheerful. We camped at Michigan City Campground in a Motorhome.

Lehman's Lakeside RV Resort, Marengo, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

I found the place quite nice. Brand new shower/bathrooms (2 weeks old) store a bit light on product. It is by the freeway, but heard little to no noise. The sites are gravel with room between so neighbor is not in your coach. After a rain a bit sloppy, but interior roads are paved. We camped at Lehman's Lakeside RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Madison KOA, De Forest, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA. Next to freeway, but noise was minimal. Gravel roads and spaces. Not much for kids but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Restrooms were large, newish and very clean. Not a large number of big rig sites. But enough. Good for an overnight stay and go. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Owner /operators are very friendly and run a nice park. A lot of trees for shade. Dirt interior roads, site was nice but the grass could have used some water. Noise is a problem but if you sleep like a rock you will have no problems. We camped at Oakdale KOA in a Motorhome.
