Bay Shore Campground, Rock Hall, Maryland

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful "resort" style park. The grounds are well landscaped and I don't blame them for not allowing parking or mats on the grass. The price is not high. This campground was full, and was turning away reservations, they must be doing something right. The wifi was strong in my site, the local antenna was incredible, you can pick-up Washington and Baltimore stations so no real need for cable. I have been here three times and have noticed that this campground has improved every time, and I am looking forward to my next visit. We camped at Bay Shore Campground in a Motorhome.

Outlanders River Camp, Luray, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

First the cons: No Cable, No WIFI of Internet. Now the pros: Beautiful well manicured campground, the hiking and golf cart trails are unique and a lot of fun. The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The sights have good electric and strong water pressure. This is a "young" RV park that will soon be the finest campground in Luray. Would easily have had a 10 if they had WIFI, cable. We camped at Outlanders River Camp in a Motorhome.

Pohick Bay Regional Park, Lorton, Virginia

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is located in the woods, however, the roads are paved. Sites are gravel, and un-level, ours was back-in and we had 30 amp hook-up and water no sewer. We could't get satellite because of the trees though we could easily pickup local channels on antenna The bath houses had laundry areas, and they were spotless. If they have wifi it would better if you called it nofi. There are many activities, if you go in season, Frisbee golf, miniature golf, and real golf on a very nice course. They also have a swimming pool and water park. We camped at Pohick Bay Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

It was off season so I can talk about the amenities, there weren't any, however the price was the same as if it was in season. I have objections to paying full price for a RV park out of season so I don't think it was a good value. The premium pull through site that I got wasn't level no matter how much I moved around. My front wheels were off the ground. I have previously rated this campground very high, but after this visit I just can't do it. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada), Fundy National Park, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great National Park! Would go back in a second. Plenty big enough for my 53 foot combo truck fifth wheel, and easy pull-through. Was close to town and attractions and we enjoyed our stay. (Not as nice as Banff) We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

New Glasgow Highlands, New Glasgow, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

There is a reason this park is highly rated. It deserves it. This campground is clean, well managed, and is everything you expect from a 5 star park. The park is centrally located to everything on PEI, with plenty of great restaurants nearby. We camped at New Glasgow Highlands in a Fifth Wheel.

Castaways RV Resort & Campground , Berlin, Maryland

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times; however, this was the best. This campground is above a 10. Starting with the welcome center, the office staff is amazing. They couldn’t be nicer and more knowledgeable. They even have a concierge to help with dinner, golf, sightseeing, reservations, and suggestions of all types. They have a shuttle bus that will take you to Ocean City or Assateague Island. They both are a short distance away. The camp store is well supplied and the cafe has very good food they even deliver to your site. Our site was across from the store and swimming pool. It was easy to back in to and the utilities were top notch. The restrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen. Our dogs were spoiled more than usual with a very nice dog park, their very own dog beach. Unfortunatel, we were early in the season and couldn’t experience the Tiki bar with live music or the swimming pools, but I have before and was more than satisfied. We will return. In fact, we have made reservations to return this summer. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye), Luray, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the finest campgrounds in Virginia. It has an attentive owners/managers a nice swimming pool, and a large dog park. The sites are very nice, with pull-thru and back in and they even have premium sites that have concrete pads and deluxe fireplaces. The grounds are immaculate and the views are spectacular. The park is very close to the town of Luray with its nice restaurants and shopping, the Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park’s Skyline Drive are also very close. We have been here many times and this has been the most enjoyable, perhaps the KOA designation? I have given them glowing review, but have given a 9 because of the lack of Internet and cable. Yes, they say they have Wi-Fi, however I was unable to receive any signal even on my phone, and they do not have cable. We camped at Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye) in a Fifth Wheel.

Janes Island State Park, Crisfield, Maryland

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

OK, if you like blue shell crabs you will love this campground as the town of Crisfield is the blue shell capital of the world! You could even catch your own in the campground. This state park has weekly programs for the kids we were there on Memorial Day Weekend and went to the Soft Shell Crab Festival in Crisfield. The campground was in great shape. The waterfront sites are to die for, they are as good as it gets. We had a site on the outside edge that even allowed us to get satellite, however if you are trying to get satellite stay on the outside and you might have a shot. We had a 36ft fifth wheel and didn’t have any problems but realize it is a state park and the larger RV’s might have a problem so check out the website and pick out you site there. The campground is the finest state park on the Eastern Shore (in my opinion), however there are some issues that are beyond the control of the capable and friendly staff, the bugs! They are bad including ticks and mosquitoes so make sure you pack your repellent. I also don’t like their dump station (I didn’t dump) and I wish they had 50 amp. This is a wonderful state park and a wonderful town with plenty to do. We camped at Janes Island State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

G & R Campground, Houston, Delaware

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here with our Club for the weekend and we all went to the Punkin Chunkin, which was located about 15 miles from the campground. The campground was very clean and everything was well organized at check-in. The owners and staff are the nicest you will ever find. The sites were plenty large enough with picnic tables and fire rings. Our site only had 30amp service while my neighbors had 50amp, they did pay a little more, however I didn't really need 50amp in the winter and saved $10.00. I would have rated this campground higher if it would have had cable and Wi-Fi. I also couldn't receive any satellite signal because we were parked in the trees. Everyone in our club was very impressed and happy with this campground. We camped at G & R Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Park Campground, Greensboro, Maryland

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is their 40th year, so they must be doing something right. Everyone received a nice discount because of the anniversary, and they also served a really good barbeque sandwich for $1.50. The sites were spacious and clean and our dogs enjoyed walking along the river. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I didn't like the speed-bumps when you enter the campground. We didn't have 50 amp service at my site, we didn't have sewer (probably the fault of proximity to the river not the owner). I didn't like the layout of the sites (parking on the grass and among the trees). Overall this is a nice clean family campground with nice owners and is well worth the money that we paid. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk Neck State Park, North East, Maryland

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Elk Neck is one of the finest Maryland State Parks. It can accommodate just about any type of rig. We stayed in the North East loop which has full hook-ups (even 50 Amp) and some pull-thru sites. I agree with the other reviews about the RV height restrictions so if your RV is much over 12 ft tall do NOT pull into the lane leading to the check-in booth. You will not clear the overhang. Use the lane without the overhang. We camped at Elk Neck State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is excellent even though the sites are small, it has everything you could think of and you can even get three free nights if you register online. We were able to go to Lazy Days get some warranty work done get a free breakfast and lunch then look at new RVs and shop at Camping World all at the same place. The additional nights were reasonably priced and we felt safe and secure inside the guarded and gated campground. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Country Acres Campground, Gordonville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This park is really located in Bird in Hand, PA, not Gordonville. That aside it is very nice we went here in a group; everyone was very pleased. The sites varied in size, from small to large; some were wooded and some were open. We had an open site that was large, and we were quite pleased it was somewhat level (needed to run up on some boards to level off). We had use of the pavilion which was quite nice. The playground was nice to use and it included a volleyball net and horseshoes. The pool was on the other side of the office, and I didn't visit it. There was some noise off the highway, and sometimes there was a small problem with people hooking up and people coming in. There was also a noticeable smell of cow manure in the air when the wind was right (this is typical of Lancaster County). Overall a very nice park and one that we would visit again I am sure. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an excellent campground with very nice people. The grounds are very clean. The pull though sites will accommodate any size rig. Super close to the Newfoundland ferry, in fact we stayed here coming and going, and will stay here if we are ever in the area. We camped at Arm of Gold Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
