This park is beautiful, clean, and full of friendly people. Beyond the great hook-ups, unbelievably beautiful restrooms, and plenty of room to walk the dog, the wi-fi is strong, the hot tub pristine, and the staff beyond compare. They deliver dinner to the campers or serve it in the community room every night and breakfast on the weekends. And the food is actually great. This park is remote, but also central to a large number of things within a reasonable drive. Carlsbad Caverns is about 50 miles away, and Guadalupe Mountains National Park is about 75 miles away We've spent almost 3 weeks here and have not gotten bored. Should you make it this direction and long for some fantastic eats, check out the No Whiner Diner in Carlsbad and the Well Head in Artesia.

The park itself is small and fairly quiet. It is located on the interstate behind a truck stop and across the street from an adult bookstore. The pool is very small, old, and has cracked fiberglass everywhere along the edges. They also have a "swim club" which allows locals to use the pool. The pool is hardly large enough to support the guests, much less the locals. The laundry facility is average. Water pressure poor, but good electrical. (They only have a small amount of 50amp h/u's) No internet, cable or sat TV. The major drawback to the park is the owners. They are about as friendly as a flesh eating virus. They are a retired couple who do not live on site. It appeared to me they have plenty of money and do not care if anyone stays or not. Because there is not an on site host, the park facilities are sometimes used late at night by transient travellers. I guess the word is out about free showers and laundry. If in the area I would use the Beech Lake Resort Park. It is the only park in the area that I would rate very high.

Very clean park and very friendly staff. The only negative was the train track at the back of the park. Trains come thru every couple of hours at night and blow their horns.

Excellent site! The hosts were among the friendliest we have encountered. We enjoyed the park so much that we extended our stay an extra week! The only reason we could not give the site a 10 was how difficult it is to park the rig. The site has a very narrow street that runs thru the middle, with a tiny cove on the end for turning around. We were able to do it, but it was tight.

All concrete level pads. Scenic view. With the casino's players card, and good sam membership, we only paid $16 per night. We felt it was a great value. Not many choices for dining out, was the only negative for us.
