Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park location is very convenient and especially if your travel relates to MSU. The park is clean with lots of trees. There is constant traffic noise from I90 and the surrounding surface roads, not to mention the nearby train tracks (and yes the associated train whistle but not too bad). I had to share a common space with my lot neighbor since the park layout has hookups on opposite sides of adjacent lots. The park is an eclectic mix of tent camping, RV and semi-permanent resident RVs. There is no cable and Sprint was inadequate for my hotspot while AT&T offered a good LTE signal. There are a handful of OTA digital channels. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Alpine Country Store & RV Park, Hayden, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park is easy to get to. There is a gas station/store that double as the office and a drive thru coffee stand in the same parking lot. Other than trash collection I never saw owners or maintenance crew. Other than the traffic noise, the park is more than adequate. I did not use the park WIFI. There is no cable, but plenty of OTA digital channels. Sprint and AT&T both provided LTE service. My lot was near the front and therefore close to route 95; which is well traveled and noisy. There is a train that runs along 95 and a nearby intersection so the train whistle blows VERY loudly throughout the day and at least a couple times between midnight and 6AM. We camped at Alpine Country Store & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. The park is easily accessible. It is clean, quiet, and scenic. The spaces are long and wide enough for my 41 ft w/5 slides and my tow vehicle. There is a large fenced in pet area. Grocery, hardware, home goods shopping all within a 5-10 min drive. The Park WIFI is basically useless and unreliable. No Sprint coverage, but AT&T had adequate 4G. There is cable TV with several channels and I did get a handful of OTA digital channels. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort, Dubois, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

If you're going to stay in or near Dubois WY, this is the place to stay! Quiet. Convenient. Well maintained. Lots of trees and a beautiful river. I did not have time to fish the river. Full hookups available with good water pressure. No Sprint coverage and AT&T limited to 3G. Park WIFI was very reliable and I consistently got >35MB down/16MB up. Cable TV connection did not work well for me and only 4 OTA channels available; but I did not try hard nor did I contact the office. I was put into lot 19 and it was a bit small for me. I asked for a different lot and they put me in 5 and 6 for the same price. I used 6 to park my truck. There is a small store (w/ice) and a restaurant serving continental breakfast; I used neither. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The local grocery store is about 3 mi away. It's a bit pricey and the fresh produce is understandably limited and not so fresh in some cases. That said, it's more than adequate. There is a refreshing lack of fast food franchises. The local hardware store has sufficient variety, sells ammo and also has an aisle dedicated to some basic RV supplies. You can get propane on site or in town.

Rose Valley RV Ranch, Silver City, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Rose Valley is conveniently located off Route 180. The park was very quiet and the lots have far better than average privacy with fenced seating area and well place/pruned trees. I arrived after hours and they had my lot info taped to the office door. Everybody I encountered was very pleasant. Cell service was very good for AT&T and Sprint. The park wifi gives excellent coverage and better than average performance. If you are a MC enthusiast then you will love the ride up route 15 to the Gila Cliff Dwellings, plus lots of roads though the National Forests. I will be returning!

DO NOT use route 152 if coming in from I-25. This road has 2, 12' 8" bridges and is a mountain pass with extremely narrow roads that do not accommodate larger RVs. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The front office does not offer a store so make sure you bring the RV basics with you... all else can be had at the local stores. You can get to ACE, Walgreens, Albertsons, Griffins (propane) etc. all within a 5 minute drive.
