Hoosier/Hardin Ridge Recreation Area, Heltonville, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far my favorite campground!! The sites are so nicely spread out and secluded. You really feel like your camping in the woods (with still having a restroom/shower near by!). Perfect if your looking for secluded/private/woodsy camping! Highly recommended!! We camped at Hoosier/Hardin Ridge Recreation Area in a Tent.

Loft Mountain Campground (NPS Campground), Elkton, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

I'm used to camping in the Midwest, but the sites seem so very close together! I felt like I was camping in my back yard (not very wooded) - besides the beautiful mountainous views that you could take a short walk to see. You could definitely see/hear other campers very easily. I wish the sites were more secluded because they aren't at all!! Shower is also quarter/coin operated at the camp store which is sort of off the grounds. Can see that being annoying if you have kids... Lots of hiking/sightseeing activities to do in the park. We camped at Loft Mountain Campground (NPS Campground) in a Tent.
