River Country Campground, Gadsden, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

By far my favorite campground! We always get a site on the water and spend every day bass fishing. Pools are clean and since there is 3 of them, plenty of room to swim. Our last visit we planned to stay 2 days and ended up staying 12. The owner is very involved and tries hard to make everyone's stay here perfect. Recently she made some changes to the "bay side" sites to allow more room between the campers. This allowed better parking for the tow vehicles also. We camped at River Country Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent campground, probably the finest I have ever visited. My 3 year old learned to ride a bike the first day and made the 2 mile round trip to the beach on the second day of our stay. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Travel Trailer.

Florida Caverns State Park, Marianna, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

The park as a whole is wonderful. The caverns are awesome. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The campsites were very basic, not much shade and plenty of sand. The roads were rough in some places and the road to the campsites was sand. Overall not a bad park. The playground and pavilions were very nice and well kept. We camped at Florida Caverns State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Vortex Spring, Ponce de Leon, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very primitive, much sand, roads were in disrepair, sites poorly marked. It took us 50 minutes just to get checked in, staff was new and not very professional. This is an excellent Dive site, great swimming area, kind of small. We left a day earlier than we were supposed to. Hopefully they will bring this park up to standards soon. We camped at Vortex Spring in a Travel Trailer.

Lakepoint Resort State Park, Eufaula, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

I have been visiting this park since it opened, not much has changed. It is in need of an update, however we always have a blast and the staff is wonderful. They know us by name now. We store our camper there, we visit often as I love to bass fish. I recommend this park, just wish it had a pool. We camped at Lakepoint Resort State Park in a Travel Trailer.
