Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We came to Vicksburg to visit family and used the Ameristar RV Resort as our base camp. Stayed 10 nights and really enjoyed our time there. Campground is clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Busy park: fun to watch all kinds of rigs coming and going. Security vehicle regularly makes passes through the camp. Felt very safe. Camp is brightly lit at night.

Some reviews complain about sites not being level but our site (# 25) was fine as well as those around us. Free shuttle to the Ameristar Casino across the street. Full hookup. Pull through concrete pad. Wifi worked fine but couldn't get our cable to work. Appreciated there was no charge for visitors so our grandchildren could come in and visits us.

Camp is a short drive to Vicksburg's attractions, restaurants and stores. Great experience here, would definitely recommend and will stay here again should be get back to the area. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Vicksburg is such a lovely city. Be sure to visit the National Military Park, Cemetery and the USS Cairo. Wall of Murals is interesting along with the Lower River Museum. Visit the downtown shops along Washington Street: very cute. Lunch or dinner at 10 South: rooftop restaurant on Washington. Excellent food and stunning view. If you're lucky The Mississippi Queen riverboat might dock fo a stay!

2 Rivers Campground, Carrollton, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were very pleasantly surprised with Two Rivers Campground. This was an enroute overnight stay for us. The Campground was pristine with spacious pull-through, level concrete pads. Full hook-up. The grounds were very manicured. We were traveling over Labor Day and this Campground did not require 3 night stay for a holiday weekend. I didn't rate the service as we no interaction with any of the staff. We arrived after the office was closed and left before they opened. If we're ever back in this area we definitely would stay at 2 Rivers again. Great experience! We camped at 2 Rivers Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay at Parkers Crossroads RV Park. We were only here for one night but if we're ever back in the area we would definitely stay with them again. Very friendly staff, very clean, great information handouts upon check-in. Cable, excellent Wifi, very level pull through concrete pad. Quiet and restful stay. If we were here longer we would have emoloyed the RV wash/wax service. Great idea! PCRV Park was an excellent experience! We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.
