Sid Turcotte Park Camping and Cottage Resort, Mattawa, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, well maintained facility on the banks of the Mattawa River just above the confluence with the Ottawa River. Restricted Access Park offers playground equipment, room for kids to roam, a short float trip on the river or access to swim at 2 beach areas. Canoes are available to rent. Access to the extensive ORV trails in the area make this a destination campground. Internet is currently cellular based. The park is in the process of upgrading campground WiFi from just the office area. T-Mobile and Verizon (serviced by Bell, Telus or Rogers) worked for most of our group, issues were equipment based. Rental Cabins are available and a limited number of seasonal sites. Our (and our friends) experience was enhanced with the exceptionally friendly and inclusive seasonal community and park owners. The sites are grass/dirt covered gravel and provide a modicum of privacy, the roads have speed bumps provided by the large trees throughout the park and facilities, while dated, are well maintained and kept clean. With the weather considerations at this location, 30 amp was plenty of power for our coach. My site was one of the few with sewer available however the park does provide honey wagon service. We will definitely be visiting this park again. We camped at Sid Turcotte Park Camping and Cottage Resort in a Motorhome.
