Russell Brook Campsite, Roscoe, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older campground showing its age. The showers and bathrooms need upgrading. The camp store was never open unless you went to the house and asked the owner to open up. The owner is quite helpful but it appears he is a little overwhelmed with maintenance. Way to many seasonals for our taste. Not bad for a couple of nights but we will not be visiting again. We camped at Russell Brook Campsite in a Tent Trailer.

Best campground we have ever stayed in. Surrounded by beautiful farm country and right across the street from the Juniata river. Well supplied camp store and crystal clean pool area. Owners/staff very helpful. Would surely camp here again. We camped at Buttonwood Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Summersville Lake Retreat, Mt. Nebo, West Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean and open campground. My only complaint is the absolute lack of any supplies/items sold. This is the first campground I have ever been to that did not sell ice! No other basic amenities are sold either. No laundry, nothing. It was very inconvenient to have to leave camp for everything. This campground is not conducive to long term stays, anything more than two nights and you will be running errands instead of relaxing. We have all been there when you run out of half and half or milk and you can send the kids to the camp store for the same, not here. Having said that, the owners were friendly and the area is beautiful. We would go back to the area but not this campground. We camped at Summersville Lake Retreat in a Tent Trailer.
