Happy Holiday Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

It's a ways off the I-90 ( about 12 miles). In the heart of the Black Hills. We were just there overnight. Hook ups were good including cable but Wi-Fi is very slow. Verizon signal wasn't bad. Roads in the campground are very tight for a large rig (40ft 5th wheel), but they do escort you to your site and help you get in. There was a little covered patio next to our site that is shared with the camper next door. We camped at Happy Holiday Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access off the interstate. Staff was so very friendly and helpful. It had been raining non-stop and the ground in front of our 5th wheel was covered in water. The owner brought us a pallet to lay in front of the steps so we didn't have to walk in the water. There is a train track right across the highway but it was cool enough that we didn't have to open windows. The campground is easily negotiated and located close to restaurants and shops. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Prospect RV Park, Wheat Ridge, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Prospect RV for 5 days in April. First let me correct a previous review. They do not have 50 amp service. At first that was a concern for us but it was cool enough that we never had to run the AC. The staff said they were trying to update to 50 amp but had to wait for utility company to replace transformers. There is a lovely city park right next door so walking dogs was very easy. Not far from all the things we wanted to see and do in Denver. It was a little tight getting into our spot with a 40' 5th wheel but we've been in worse. Getting out would have been impossible if not for the staff. My husband went to the office the day before we left to ask them for help. When we went out the next a.m. to pull out, every car had been cleared out in our row (there are a lot of long term residents). A staff person even went so far as to call me after we had left because someone had found one of our dogs ID tags and she wanted to send it to me because she didn't want him traveling without one. We would definitely stay here again in cool months and, if they upgrade to 50 amps, we would stay any time. There wasn't room for our tow vehicle at the site but parking was close by. All hook ups were where they should have been. We camped at Prospect RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
