Whistle Stop RV Resort, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice new park. We stayed for one night on our trip across Texas. The pull through sites are 90 feet so we did not have to unhitch. Even though we didn't use any of the facilities, it was evident that they are very clean and well maintained. There is a nice dog park and even a doggie wash station. There was good WiFi service during our stay, and the staff was very courteous. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Whistle Stop RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wapakoneta KOA, Wapakoneta, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful little family-run park. The roads are nicely maintained gravel. Our site had a concrete pad and large patio with table and chairs, bbq, and fire pit. The owners are very friendly and attentive to guests. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the owner spends his day on maintenance of the park. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Wapakoneta KOA in a Motorhome.

Detroit Greenfield RV Park, Ypsilanti, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Arriving in this park was not a good experience. We were given a map to our site that sent us down a narrow path with low trees that scraped the top of our RV and were unable to enter our site because of the wrong directions. The lady in the office (a work camper) admitted she had marked the map incorrectly, but no one came out to help us get into the site. No one was particularly concerned about the scratches to our coach. When we asked about a number of their pull through sites that were in the open, we were told those would need to be held for weekend guests. Our reservations were made well in advance, and we stayed a week, but they refused to put us there. Those sites stayed empty except for the weekend. This park is more of a fishing camp. It is very dirty with lots of trailers in poor repair with lots of junk. The roads are dirt (no gravel). We were there to go to The Henry Ford Museum which is not far. We will not stay there again. We camped at Detroit Greenfield RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake DuBay Shores Campground, Mosinee, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

In our cross-country travels, this is the worse park we have stayed in. Do yourself a favor and stay away. When we made reservations, we were assured that our 42' rig and tow would fit easily. We asked about trees and were told "no problem". It was very difficult to get to the assigned space without damaging the coach. It required some "off roading" through other spaces in order to avoid low branches. No help from staff. Couldn't connect to water because it was very rusty water and the spigot was in bad shape. No sewer hookup. Spaces are small and the park is unkempt. Park is filled with trailers and 5th wheels that are junky and look abandoned. The woman in the office was unhelpful and somewhat rude. We camped at Lake DuBay Shores Campground in a Motorhome.
