Stage Stop Campground, Winter Garden, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Large park. Pick your own spot then let them know where you're at. Spaces are average-sized. Lots of long-term residents. Great spot to walk in the trees between the park and HW 50. Close to fuel, food, shopping. Sites are grass. With a little rain, our leveling blocks had to be dug out when we left. Fire ants are plentiful and vicious. Park is well maintained. Previous reviews noting rough roads in the park were accurate. The park was entirely repaved with new blacktop while we were there in October 2017. Sites are all technically back-in but I pulled through an open one behind ours to make my own pull-through. Interior roads easy to navigate with no obstacles or sharp turns. Bath houses available but we did not go in. We camped at Stage Stop Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Traffic always heavy to the east of the park towards Orlando. Head west a few miles to Clermont for groceries and such for a more enjoyable drive.

Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort, Murphy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We love this RV park. Sites are huge, well maintained, and easy to get in and out. Lights on utility poles for easy hook-up when its dark. We were in a back corner so road noise was not an issue for us. Our site was 60' x 120'. Great management who was always available but not intrusive. Super friendly. Asked if I needed help hooking up. Close to but not in the middle of town. Long term residents but they are not the typical long-term residents of an RV park. If there were some trees for shade I would have liked it better but that's a personal preference. You may like it better without them for better satellite reception. Great Wi-Fi and cable TV. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

High Falls RV Park, Jackson, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here because it's relatively close to the airport in Atlanta. If we ever need to do this again, we'll stay somewhere else. Single restroom and shower. 2 coin-op washer-dryer combos. Many long-term residents that prefer to walk through your very narrow site to other places in the park. Often. Like 10-12 times per day. Long-term resident trailers have things built onto the sides and some don't have wheels and tires and just sit on the brake drums in the dirt. For the location, this is a very noisy park. The residential area across the road is full of people who have no mufflers on their cars and are proud of it...as is the long-term resident without one on her golf cart that makes about 75 laps around the park each day. Staff and management very polite and accommodating. We camped at High Falls RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

High Falls State Park is close by. Didn't go but looks nice from the road. High Falls Lake nearby. Pay-to-park area a mile or so away. Closest retail area is 12 miles in Forsyth. Fuel available about 1/2 mile away.
