This is our third time staying at this park. The location is excellent, less than a mile from the Parkway and it's on the shuttle route. Bathrooms and showers are exceptionally clean and well kept. Sites are good-sized, paved, level, and well-landscaped. Haven't ever used the pool area, but it looks like fun for kids. The office staff is very helpful and efficient with check-in and out. Will definitely stay here every time we camp in the Smokies.

Decent state park campground. We reserved back-in site and it was pretty level. The site had the tiny gravel, which kept it from being muddy when it rained, but I was constantly sweeping the little gravel out of our camper. We camped near a stream, which was nice. The campground was pretty booked up, but the sites were spaced out enough that it didn't feel crowded at all. The restrooms and showers were clean. The park has a variety of hiking trails, which we really enjoyed. Overall, it was a great value for the size and roominess of the site. As you head down the road toward the state park, you'll pass a country store on the right on a hill. That's definitely worth a stop for good burgers and ice cream.

Note price was the price for the site plus the $5 activity fee for 4 people. Nice campground for the kids. There were enough activities to keep them busy. The staff is very friendly and helpful with information. Campground was well kept and clean. Site we were assigned was a little tricky to get into, and required some leveling. However, most of the sites appeared to be accessible and level. You can stay in the shaded areas or out in the open closer to the pool and activities. Dog run was good, but the grass was a little tall. We would definitely return to this campground.

We camped here for the second time in April, 2011. This campground is quiet, has beautiful well-kept landscaping, and level sites. Cleanest bathrooms I've seen in any campground. The sites are very easy to get into and are a generous size. Wireless internet and cable TV worked great. We love sitting by the camper listening to the small stream that runs nearby. The campground is very close to the New River Trail, and we normally ride on the trail each visit. The owner is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.

We camped here for the weekend, in order to be close to Emerald Pointe water park. It was OK for a place to sleep, but not great for a long stay. We went to the pool, and it was clean, but crowded. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Many sites were small and hard to get into, but they had some nicer sites on the other side of the campground. Some sites were very level, but some were not level - hit and miss on that. The site beside ours was very junky and cluttered and looked to have a seasonal resident parked there. Saw several of those, but the campers themselves were not a problem. Lots of families camping there. The motorhome section of the campground looked very nice. The bathrooms were very clean, but the door on one of the women's bathrooms didn't close all the way which let in some huge mosquitoes and other bugs, especially at night. Overall, friendly staff, hit & miss sites, and clean pool and bathrooms.

Great family campground. The state park and lake are beautiful. Very friendly staff and great security. Immaculate bathrooms. There is no pool, but the park has playgrounds, walking trails, a nice marina, and a sandy beach at the swimming area on the lake. I believe the swimming area admission is extra fee. No water-view sites, but close to the lake. The sites are very level, easy access, and a generously sized.
