Little Red Barn Campground, Quakertown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Not a great experience at this campground. The ladies at the desk were extremely nice but the campground needed some updating. Our campsite sat right on top of our neighbor. Small tire rim fire ring and no paving or gravel at the site. Our first night we heard very loud, very foul language about 3 sites over. They did bring the firewood you purchased to your camp. Doubt I will use this facility again. We camped at Little Red Barn Campground in a Motorhome.

Shenandoah River State Park, Bentonville, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 nights on a trip return from Cape Cod. I will go back and stay longer! Beautiful setting by the Shenandoah river with gorgeous mountain views. Well maintained trails for different activities and levels of physical ablilities. Our campsite was very spacious, gravel paved with a nice fire ring with grill. Spacing between campsites was great! There is no phone reception or internet and that added to the charm. I cannot wait to return. We camped at Shenandoah River State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Front Royal is a quaint town with antique shops and a wonderful coffee shop, The Morning Grind. In the opposite direction is Luray Caverns and in nearby Sperryville a great distillery, the Copper Fox. Lots of wineries nearby but we did have time to visit.
