Beautiful resort with a lot of attention to detail. Landscaping is beautiful. Really nice grassy dog park. Pickle ball, putting green. Beautiful buildings and spotlessly clean! Cable TV and excellent WiFi. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pagosa Springs RV Park, Cabins & ATV Rentals, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in site 12 which backed up to the mountain and it was perfect. The campground has merged with Blanco River and those sites were not ver appealing. Our site was grassy, shaded and really lovely. All the sites backing up to the mountain were good, and those by the river were ok. We camped at Pagosa Springs RV Park, Cabins & ATV Rentals in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Probably my only complaint would be the distance from Pagosa Springs. Eat at the Pagosa Springs Bakery and Kip's Grill and Cantina!! Hiking was good but it has been very dry in CO. so creeks and ponds were very low!

Denver West / Central City KOA, Central City, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We loved our stay at Central City KOA.We were in site number eight which had a few out across the mountains which was gorgeous especially at sunset! My only complaint would be lack of grass for dogs but it's CO. Bathrooms were spacious and clean! Everyone who worked the main desk was super! Knowledgeable and helpful even helping us with our dogs when we went to Denver for the fast. Would definitely recommend! We camped at Denver West / Central City KOA in a Motorhome.

Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort), Moran, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Dirt sites were very dusty. Bathroom showers needed some work, as minor as new shower curtains. For the price the campground offered little except it was close to Yellowstone and the Tetons, although it really was a drive to either. Laundry facilities were expensive($2.50 wash and $175 dry) I probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

Custer State Park - Game Lodge Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We absolutely loved our stay at Custer State Park! We should have booked earlier (I think it was early May when we booked) because we had to change from Grace Coolidge to Game Lodge after 3 nights then finished our stay, 2 nights at Game Lodge. The park offers so much! Wildlife, trails, restaurants, water sports and beauty! We also were able to do trips to Mount Rushmore and Crazy House. It is so clean and beautiful! We had delightful camp hosts. I hope to return again some day. We camped at Custer State Park - Game Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.

Little Red Barn Campground, Quakertown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Not a great experience at this campground. The ladies at the desk were extremely nice but the campground needed some updating. Our campsite sat right on top of our neighbor. Small tire rim fire ring and no paving or gravel at the site. Our first night we heard very loud, very foul language about 3 sites over. They did bring the firewood you purchased to your camp. Doubt I will use this facility again. We camped at Little Red Barn Campground in a Motorhome.

Shenandoah River State Park, Bentonville, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 nights on a trip return from Cape Cod. I will go back and stay longer! Beautiful setting by the Shenandoah river with gorgeous mountain views. Well maintained trails for different activities and levels of physical ablilities. Our campsite was very spacious, gravel paved with a nice fire ring with grill. Spacing between campsites was great! There is no phone reception or internet and that added to the charm. I cannot wait to return. We camped at Shenandoah River State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Front Royal is a quaint town with antique shops and a wonderful coffee shop, The Morning Grind. In the opposite direction is Luray Caverns and in nearby Sperryville a great distillery, the Copper Fox. Lots of wineries nearby but we did have time to visit.
