Echo Valley Campground, Tremont, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The bridge to enter Echo Valley Campground is washed out, requiring a tight detour. The campground often smells like sewage. One of the bathhouses leaked sewage on the road near tent campers. The rental campers we saw were musty & had leaked. Our rental cabin (a garden shed equipped with the used mechanicals from a small camper) was musty & smelly, but had functioning a/c, toilet, toaster oven, refrigerator & microwave. Many campground amenities are unkempt or broken. Campers must pay addition fees to swim in greenish pool & pay sunbathers fee to watch their children. We do not recommend renting campers for those with young children. We camped at Echo Valley Campground in a Campground Cabin.

Red Ridge Lake Campground, Zion Grove, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Big rig friendly. Nice large activities pavilion with electric lights. Paid lifeguard on duty daily to oversee swimmers in pond. Kid-friendly campground. We've been there during the X-mas in July festivities complete with Santa hayride. Quiet shady campground off the beaten path. We camped at Red Ridge Lake Campground in a Tent.
