Paul B. Johnson State Park, Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice state park. Locating the office was a little tricky, but we figured out where it was. If you enter from the south entrance, you go across a spillway, which was different but no big deal. Parking our 5th wheel during check in was also tricky, there is a parking lot in front of the office. If it has a bunch of vehicles parked there, just park on the road during check in. Was offered a pull through or back in. We were just waiting out the hurricane Michael on our way to the gulf coast so we choose a pull through, which were close together but cheaper. Pull throughs were concrete and long enough I didnt have to disconnect. Full hook ups but no cable or wifi. Did have full cell phone signal. I would stay here again. We camped at Paul B. Johnson State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Frog Hollow Campground RV Park, Grenada, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is just off of I55. Roads are gravel and one way. Some sites are level, others are not. Full hook ups but no cable. My only complaint was the WIFI was weak and kept losing connection. This park is OK for a one night stay. We camped at Frog Hollow Campground RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cahokia RV Parque, Cahokia, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Decent park. Right next to highway 3, so there will be some road noise. Not far from nearby interstates. A few turns are kinda sharp but I managed with my 40 foot 5th wheel. The BBQ restaurant is worth trying. Roads and most sites are gravel. My site had full hookups but no cable. I would stay here again. We camped at Cahokia RV Parque in a Fifth Wheel.

St. Louis N.E. / I-270 / Granite City KOA, Granite City, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived after hours. Instructions were ok. Asked for a big rig friendly site when I made reservations. Didnt see one when we arrived but found a site big enough for our fifth wheel. Wasnt quite long enough for RV and truck so had to unhook. (No big deal) Pool wasnt open yet. (Schucks) Sites and roads are mostly gravel. Not far from I 270. All sites, to my knowledge are full hookup. Bathrooms, showers and laundry available. In my opinion this is the most decent RV park in this general area. Will be staying here again. We camped at St. Louis N.E. / I-270 / Granite City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

St. Louis N.E. / I-270 / Granite City KOA, Granite City, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA is decent. Not far at all from I 270, some pull thru and some back in sites. Our pull thru site had full hookup with 50 amp. It is located in an industrial area, big trucks going in and out but you shouldnt hear any of this inside with your AC on. We camped at Koa in a fith wheel. Double J Campground and RV Park, Chatham, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park was great in many ways. Easy access off of I 55, most sites are pull through, most are level, with full hookups and 50 amp. Clean showers, restrooms and laundry room. It is close to I 55 but the noise level from the interstate was not bad at all. The only problem we had was 1 member of the staff was VERY rude. He barked out orders like a drill sergeant. ( Why treat paying customers like crap?) The rest of the staff was very friendly. The site we were assigned was just long enough for our 39 ft fith wheel and truck, but they do have sites for big rigs. We camped at Double J in a fith wheel.
