Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Nice large lots. Pads are not angled (and skinny), therefore can be a bit of a challenge to get in/out of. Some sites are not level at all, ours was level. No sewer hook ups, so plan accordingly. We had quite a bit of rain which caused the lots to be fairly muddy. The campground got very busy on the weekend. The horse park is really nice. We camped at Kentucky Horse Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

L'Anse Township Park, L'Anse, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We camped on lot 4...which was perfect for us. It is a corner lot, large and has a great view of the bay. We originally were scheduled to go in lot 11, but it looked pretty short (we have a 40 ft. 5th wheel) and luckily the camp host recognized it was going to be a tight fit and the folks had just left the larger site. The park has a gazebo and dock on the water down below the park and it was a very relaxing place to be at the end of the day. Water and sewer are right before you enter into the campground and our site had electricity. We passed up the driveway as our GPS said we still had about .7 of a mile left. We were able to turn around at Skanee and Whirl-a-Gig. Nice location to visit L'anse, Baraga and Houghton. We camped at L'Anse Township Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice, clean and quiet park. Lots are large, which makes you feel like you are 'camping' instead of being cramped into spots. Hiking trails are nice to use. There is a chlorinated pond for swimming....looked really fun! We camped at Buffalo River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, Mandan, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, quiet park. We brushed some trees coming into the campground and let the ground maintenance person know they might watch the height of the trees and trim them when needed. We did not have any damage, but the ranger also came over to check to see if we had damage. Hopefully they rake care of the branches for the next camper. The park has nice hiking trails and sits on the Heart and Missouri Rivers...relaxing place to be at the end of the day. We camped at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Teton Valley RV Park, Victor, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the old part of the campground in 114 which is a back in lot. The lot had some width to it, however, most sites are very close together. Our lot had some trash (broken comb, plastic parts of a bucket, etc) on it, so it didn't appear the park cleaned the lot before we got there. The park was very dry and dusty. The vehicles kicked up dust to where we have to cover our mouth/nose as they went by. It would help if the park invested in a watering spray vehicle to help minimize the dust in the dry season. The park is in a very good location to visit Victor. Jackson and other tourist towns are easily accessible if you don't mind driving the Pass to get to them. We camped at Teton Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park), La Grande, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very nice....big lots with room between neighbors. The view and sunsets were great. The town of LaGrande/Island City was close enough to run into for a bite to eat and grocery shop. The park is well kept and clean. Even though the train track is close by, we did not hear it. If we travel through this area again, we will surely make a stop here. Ainsworth State Park, Cascade Locks, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Used the park as a 'landing spot' so we could travel around and see family, which worked well for us. The lot reserved for us in the B lot had too many low hanging branches, so we were moved to the A lot...just got leveled and the camp ranger told us they had someone else coming into that spot and wanted us to move back down to the B lot, but in a spot we could fit in. That worked out well, but moving around was a bit of a pain. They did give us a bundle of firewood for our trouble. With the trails/roads still being closed due to the previous fire made using the park for hiking, etc impossible. As stated in other posts, the train track is right below the park and is used pretty heavily. We camped at Ainsworth State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Diamond Lake RV Park, Diamond Lake, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

As advertised, the park is a bit challenging to find if using your GPS. Putting up some additional signage along the way would help travelers. Our lot was pretty un-level, but we made it work. We had a picnic table that was located conveniently (on the door side of the camper), however, the fire pit was in back of the rig which seemed to be an odd location. The park is well located to travel to Crater Lake National park and to several waterfalls. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Well kept RV park. The roads are very easy to navigate with really good asphalt. The staff/owners are kind and helpful. The view of the river was icing on the cake. The park foliage is trimmed and well maintained. Wifi was very dependable. The park is close to grocery stores, fuel and also a nice drive to Lake Shasta. We camped at JGW RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
