OK RV Park & Canyonlands Stables, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

It depends on what is important to you during your stay here. You are four miles into Moab but are on the opposite side of town to go to all the national and state parks. WiFi was good. We were able to stream Netflix in the evening with no problem. The bathrooms are another story. When we arrived they were clean but when we left three days later they we nasty. We are not sure why the park staff did not clean them for three days but they didn't. The campground does have trees on some sites which was nice. It was 112 degrees during our stay. All in all I give just a fair review. We camped at OK RV Park & Canyonlands Stables in a Travel Trailer.

Hadley's Point Campground, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The bathrooms across from our camper were absolutely spotless! The showers were not very close to our campsite so we did not use them. The folks were friendly and check in was easy. You can take a short walk to a beach and watch the sun set.

The campground is 15 miles to a Walmart, 10 minutes to Bar Har and 15-20 minutes to the visitor center in Acadia National Forest. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Hadley's Point Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Get to Bar Harbor by 10am. Parking is hard to find after that.

Winter Island Park Campground, Salem, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a tough park to review since it is not a park. Someone took parking spaces at a marina and added water and electric. Here's the good, you are on the water and it is awesome. You see lighthouses, boats on mooring balls, fantastic sunsets and nice people working here. You also are only a 3 minute drive to downtown Salem. Now the bad, the worst restroom/bath house we saw on our three week trip. When I say bad I mean bad. My wife would not shower or use the restrooms. This is the first time in all our camping this has happened. So, if your RV has restroom facilities or all your tetanus shots are up to date then I would give this a thumbs up. If bad restrooms are a deal killer for, move on and book something else. Don't follow your GPS when you get within a mile. The signs show you the way. We camped at Winter Island Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The gentleman that checks you in has great suggestions for a downtown parking building and it was very cheap.

Promised Land State Park, Greentown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here two nights and could not believe they have already winterized the campground. On Friday and Saturday night there were 43 campers using one toilet. It was 75 degrees both days. They clearly should have reopened the men's and women's bathrooms instead of all campers using the family bath toilet. They did not clean the bathroom all weekend. By the time we left it was an absolute disaster!

The park was pretty but the sites are close together. Site surface was a concrete pad and featured a fire ring. We will not be back here again. We camped at Promised Land State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Creekside Campground, Edinburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park on a creek. You are only one block from Main Street. This would not be a place for a long stay but was perfect for a couple of nights. The park was clean and bathrooms close. The cable was very fast. We were actually able to stream Netflix with no problem. We would stay there again. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Travel Trailer.
