Great park. Stayed in the loop with electric. Some sites can be tricky with bigger rigs. Stayed here in a 26' RV and had no problems. Bathrooms were nice with fully tiled showers which appeared fairly new. Staff was very helpful. Had a large limb come down in a storm between sites. Staff came the next day with a lift to cut it down. Pool is nice with plenty of room. Best is that town is at bottom of hill with great restaurants and a Supercenter Walmart. Plenty to do in area.

Fall in Montauk is always great. No crowds or traffic like summer time. Most stores still open. Also outside fires allowed in the fall as long as there in a pit. Most campers are bass fisherman. Camp store closed, but town is only 5 min. away.

Nice campground, bigger rigs may be tight. Staff very friendly and helpful. mini golf, basketball courts on site. Close to miles of bike trails. Bathrooms checked on a regular basis. Would definitely stay at again. Gray water drains at each site helpful. Lake for boats and fishing on grounds. Camp store reasonably priced.

Campsite itself was all right. It is located in a good location near beaches and short drive to Newport and other nice towns. Some sites can be a trip to the bathrooms. Bathrooms needed help: the person responsible for them should be on the unemploment line. Don't mind paying for shower but at least use the money for upkeep on them. This campground was very quiet. We stayed in area 4 site 170 which had a great tree for shade and a hammock. We would stay here again.

Can get a little muddy but dried up quickly. Sites were roomy enough and shady. Closeness to the gorge trails was great. Pool was great, never crowded. Closeness to town was nice. Would definitely camp here again. Some sites were a little tight for bigger trailers.

Park store was well stocked, a little high on the prices. West end sites are definitely better, especially if it rains. There's less flooding if any at all, but also comes with more traffic noise from road. East end sites, all you hear is ocean due to a large hill between sites and road. Better to have some noise than the flooding that occurs if you have alot of rain. Short walk through the dunes to the ocean. Town just a short drive.

The state needs to pick up on maintenance issues. I've camped here for 15 years and this is the first time I've ever had a ranger tell us the kids needed to quiet down. This was at 2pm..Ranger definitely had issues. Sites getting smaller due to DEC's natural setting ideas. Limited sites for big rigs.

Best place to camp if you are hitting the park. Shuttle buses work great. Pull-through sites are a little tight but once over the bridge sites have a little more room. Store is well stocked and reasonable as far as prices. Bathrooms were cleaner than most places. We come here every year for Hershey Park. Weekends get a little crowded but staff keeps things moving.
