Markham Park, Weston, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A really great park sandwiched between Ft Lauderdale to the East and the Everglades to the West. Huge, full-hookup site backed up to the canal. Tons to do within the park (shooting, RC boats/planes, biking, etc...) and even more just outside the gates. The gun range was a bit noisy during the day, but quieted down in the evening and didn't bother us. The public WiFi had better speeds (54 Mbps down!) than we have at home due to the access point located in each camping circle...where we were there were 5 sites per circle. Really nice place. South FL is at your disposal...as are the Everglades. If you can't find stuff to do here you're not trying. We will be back whenever we're in the area. We camped at Markham Park in a Motorhome.

Ortona South COE, Moore Haven, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay at this very nice COE campground. The sites are all 30 or 50 amp with water. A dump station is available on site. Beautiful views of boats passing through the locks. Saw some gators & lots of birds. Last time we were here we saw the otters, but we didn't look for them this time. There's not much in the area to do, so this is an excellent place to spend a few days recharging and being mellow. We didn't go into the facilities. We had good cell coverage (AT&T, boosted) and very good OTA TV from Ft Myers. We camped at Ortona South COE in a Motorhome.

Moss Park, Orlando, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times, this was the first in our motorhome. This is an Orange County Park with lots of wildlife, especially Sand Hill Cranes and deer. All sites are back in and easy access for most rigs...we were in #29 which gave us a beautiful view of Lake Mary Jane. In the past the facilities were clean and had plenty of hot water, but we did not use this trip. We will stay here again. We camped at Moss Park in a Motorhome.
