Osceola City Campground, Osceola, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice little campground on a lake with large mature trees. No wifi or cable but just wonderful peaceful setting. Managers were wonderful. Nicely spaced apart sites and only 4 campers there when we went on a weekend. Right off the highway and easy to get to. Very nice fire pits. We camped at Osceola City Campground in a Motorhome.

Springfield / Route 66 KOA, Springfield, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is nice and clean but really packed in. There is open space away from the sites for walking and even a fenced in pet run area. Managers were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that really annoyed us was there is a train crossing directly across the street from the campground and the trains blow their whistles 4 times when they go past the crossing which is every 45 minutes or so all night long. We were going to stay 2 nights but cut it short because of the train noise in the middle of the night. Otherwise it was a nice place to stop at but not to get decent sleep. We camped at Springfield / Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Stayed here so we could go to Bass Pro shop Outdoor World & Aquarium. Also Hurts donuts in Springfield is the original donut shop and has an incredible selection.
