We had a very good experience with this campground. The beach is amazing and we had the chance to see a large herd of wild horses. The park was very clean and the spaces were large and well laid out with new electric service. Views of the water were fantastic, the bathrooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is still work to be done before it's done so we are giving it an 8 on this trip but we will be back. We also ate dinner at Sharky's restaurant and the food was actually fantastic. We were surprised a sports bar had prime rib and fresh local flounder. We will definitely be back! We camped at Cedar Island RV Park (formerly Driftwood Motel Restaurant & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Horseback riding available, rental golf carts and kayaks available, beach is very quiet and you can see the wild horses! Can take a day trip to Oakracoke on the ferry if you would like.
