Southlake RV Park, Knoxville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I continue to choose Southlake RV Park over other great choices in the area. With our purposes and camping style we enjoy the abundance and rugged feel of a campground yet ease of access, amenities, and sense of security. We decided on this location primarily for the towering trees, shade, nature, birds, waterfront, and feeling of camping in the woods. This was difficult to find among the "hurry-up-and-go" clear cut and paved style parks. Southlake RV Park seems to favor the camper who wants a piece of the outdoors around them and an inner peace about staying within their affordable budget. That said, the travels we see here vary from $250,000 plus coaches all the way down to our tiny vintage Airstream, pop-up campers, and tents. The campground environment is managed with enforced quiet hours and respect for fellow campers. Sites vary from out of the way larger spots, quick overnight, and during highest demand times a few spots we have seen large trailers pull into are a slight bit tight for our backing preference. At this campground, my wife and I have always enjoyed a peaceful slower pace camping experience. Never encountering a rowdy group or a problem of any kind. We feel completely safe in this camping community. Unique about this area is that although the immediate surrounding feels like you are in the remote woods in actual case within 10-15 minutes you can be at major attractions and retail. The management and staff continue to provide great service in an exceptionally friendly personal style of business. Site electricity, water, disposal, and internet are reliable. The cove water frontage of the park is clean and enjoyable. The main office includes clean showers, a few essentials in the store, and a relatively new laundry room of six washers and five dryers. My wife and I first learned of Southlake RV Park in 2016. Since then we have watched the ongoing development, numerous improvements, upgrades, site refurbishments, and overall quality. We camped at Southlake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
