Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA, Pueblo, Colorado

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Large KOA, lots of sites mostly empty this time of year. Nice dog park, good TV and WiFi. Very friendly and helpful staff. Seems like there is a lot to do, though for us just an overnight stop. If you are traveling south on 25, this is a much nicer alternative to the KOA in Raton. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Grand Junction KOA, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely KOA in Grand Junction. Great local on HWY 50. We had a very private patio site. The whole park was well landscaped, clean, and well badged. Two little dog runs were very convenient, though in rain I bet could be a mess. Staff was great. TV and WiFi were excellent. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

KOA is right on HWY 50 where almost everything you need in Grand Junction is located. Very close Enterprise if you need a car and didn't pull one.

Route 66 RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

New park west of Albuquerque. Great southwestern landscaping, nice dog park, lovely large sites with great big concrete pads. This is essentially a casino campground, but it terrific in it's own right. WiFi is excellent. Great water pressure & electric. No cable TV, but a ton of great OTA stations. Lots of space between sites. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Flagstaff KOA, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA, close quarters and gravel sites. Our set was pretty unleveled. Also typical, great and friendly staff. Nice dog park, great cable TV and WiFi. They have a little food trailer (Kamp Kitchen) with some great breakfast. We had a nice patio, but way too much furniture on it. Didn’t plan to use anyway however. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Moab KOA, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Great KOA. Tight quarters of course, typical of a KOA. We chose a patio site to get more room. Fantastic camp store, best I have seen. Reminiscent of a top end National Park store. Great signage, everyone in their KOA yellow. WiFi and cable both good. Great views on all sides. Nice little dog park. Expensive KOA, but the locale demands and bears it, in my opinion. We camped at Moab KOA in a Motorhome.

To me, this place is as wonderful as you may have heard. Beautiful, clean, charming, not too large. Great water pressure, wi-fi, cable TV. Nice little dog park. Rusk KOA , Rusk, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

The high rating is definitely related to our site, best in the camp, but also on the staff, cleanliness, etc. This place feels like that perfect KOA you'd want as your corporate example. Proper, fresh badging everywhere, lots of yellow accents, staff all had fresh KOA gear on. Great dog park, built into the pine trees...brilliant. Wi-Fi decent, cable good. Huge cell tower very close so signal very strong. Great little deluxe patio. We camped at Rusk KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground. New owners really cleaning it up well. Two very nice clean ponds with well manicured banks. Our spot was a back in right near the largest pond. Freshly graveled and leveled spot, large concrete patio for picnic table, etc.. Nice property, extremely friendly and helpful staff. We camped at Texan RV Park in a Motorhome.

If coming from DFW on 175, GPS may lead you past the park to a proper turning road, however they have cut turnouts into the highway in a few places, saved me a few miles.

Bay Landing, Bridgeport, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

Way stayed here for one night in January. Had a great site right on the lake. Most services shutdown due to season. Looks like they had a lot of stuff for families, and is probably a busy place in the summer...wouldn't want to be here then. Could be a nice quick winter get away however. We camped at Bay Landing in a Motorhome.

Tiger Run RV Resort, Breckenridge, Colorado

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

Amazing place to stay. Doesn't feel like an RV park at all, but as it's name says...more like a resort. Walking the dogs in the evening with all of the site globes glowing and lit feels like walking in a small mountain town. View is great, mountains all around, trees, cabins, creeks...gorgeous. Three pet limit, so if you have more, beware or beg for an exception. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We don't pull a toad, and were tiring of home cooking so we ordered pizza from Northside Pizza, who does deliver to Tiger Run. AMAZING pizza and salad!
